Fragrance information:

Shagya Parfums de Marly, unveiled in 2013, is officially considered a unisex fragrance, rooted in the east and wood families. Conceived and brought to life by perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur. Created within the Royal Essence collection and available in eau de parfum.

The sillage is delicate — an intimate cloud that stays close to the skin. The longevity of this fragrance is moderate — exactly what most occasions call for. Country of origin — France. Shagya Parfums de Marly unfolds gradually, effortlessly, and with great refinement — a perfect choice for day or evening.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Shagya evolves as an expressive line of development, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Parfums de Marly is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Citrus, Spicy, Floral and Wood. It also reaches into Green, Musk and Gourmet. At family level the composition sits in East and Wood.

Right at the start you meet radiant lemon-bergamot top notes: Bergamot and Pink pepper.

In the heart you sense Geranium and Oud holding a opulent floral direction.

The accord profile rests on these accords: Citrus, Floral, Musc and Wood without random overlap. Additional accords such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The profile is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In wear duration Middle points to a sustained drydown presence.

Taken together Shagya holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best experienced on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

There's a lot of luck here indeed, but it's not as sharp as in hospital scents. On the skin, this perfume unfolds with warmth, and no longer feels like a cold knife. You can even catch geranium, perhaps it's what gives this fragrance a light freshness

The scent is truly extraordinary, difficult to describe. Oud clearly dominates here, but instead of the usual bandage notes, there's something metallic. This metallic note seems to pierce the balsamic sweetness, which has a slight medicinal undertone. Overall, it leaves an ambiguous impression, making you ponder
