In November 2014, my then-boyfriend gave me a bottle of Lulu Castagnette perfume that he brought from duty-free. It was a huge ball with bright blue liquid inside. The scent turned out to be quite strange. I wouldn't have chosen it myself, as I usually avoid perfumes in blue shades, knowing that fresh notes I don't like often hide there (though there are exceptions, like Mugler's Angels) The fragrance pyramid lists cotton candy and fig. At first, you really smell sweetness, and then cold herbal notes appear, which are apparently created by the fig on my skin. Later, musk and sweetish sandalwood emerge. Some noted coconut, although it's not in the description. My mother didn't appreciate the scent, calling it too cloying. It's definitely not my type - it feels somewhat alien. But I couldn't just get rid of it, sell it, or use it as an air freshener. The fragrance became associated with pleasant memories for me. I got used to it - it was perfect for the dampness of November and December, as well as for February and March weather under the leaden St. Petersburg sky. This humidity in the scent reminded me of Ingrian dampness. It's not for romance or dates; rather, it creates an image of cold detachment. It's something like perfumery surrealism. It has cosmic coldness and indifference. A friend even called it the Snow Queen's scent. I wore it to work, to creative meetings, and on walks, both alone and with friends. Today the bottle is empty - for the last couple of months, I've just been "squeezing" it to get rid of it. I certainly won't repeat it. But as a perfumery experience - it was interesting and unusual. I recommend it to those who are ready for surrealism in perfumery and love aquatic fragrances ))

The fragrance seems quite simple, even a little childish. Its sweetness is pleasantly surprising, but there's something else. You can feel milky caramel, ripe fruits, and vanilla in it, but it's not immediately clear how it all combines. Overall, it's not bad, and may find its fan

Oh, how wonderful it is! Citrus, spices, and fresh mint create an incredible cocktail. A true summer fragrance, full of positivity and vigor 🌞

To the fragrance: Montale Sensual Instinct

This scent gives me mixed feelings. There's something alluring about it, but at the same time, something that repels from the very first seconds. I'm not a perfume professional and can't precisely identify the notes, but I clearly smell Whiskey and possibly Rose. Once it settles a bit, it reminds me of my beloved Intense Cafe, but this perfume is much richer, I think it's worth trying in winter. And the longevity of the original is simply amazing! I've never encountered anything like it: three washes of the dress, and it and everything nearby still give off this scent! Be careful with the amount you use

To the fragrance: Al Musbah Heritage

The citruses here are super persistent, they just don't give other notes a chance to shine. On my skin, they've totally latched on and won't let go, but from the bottle, I smell something way more interesting and layered. Roses, I think, are there, but on the skin, it's just these same citruses 🤔

To the fragrance: Blumarine Rosa

Out of all three floral scents, Anna was my favorite. Rose, though, to me, is too heavy and cloying. Even the flower on the bottle itself smells so strong I have to hide it in a plastic bag

The reviews for it are so varied that I long doubted whether it was worth trying. But then I accidentally stumbled upon this bottle and decided it was time to get acquainted, in case there wouldn't be another chance. Unfortunately, the fragrance isn't for me, it's too intense. It reminded me of Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez, but if that one sounds like creamy powder, here it's drier. Dry powder, a lot of sweetness, and tuberose. Undoubtedly, the fragrance is chic, but not my choice 😅

Amouage fragrances require time to reveal all their facets, and only then will you experience true pleasure from them 😊
