Identity and Release History

In 2014, the perfume world was enriched with a fresh breath of Eastern charm — Wind Wood by Mancera.

This unisex fragrance, released in 2014, immediately captured the attention of connoisseurs of sophisticated compositions, becoming part of the collection Sensual White.

Wind Wood reflects the brand's philosophy, where French luxury meets Eastern depth, offering a journey into the world of woody chords and natural harmony.

Positioning and Character

Wind Wood is positioned as a unisex fragrance, making it an ideal choice for those who value freedom of self-expression.

In the format of eau de parfum, it demonstrates moderate sillage — not intrusive but noticeable, leaving an elegant trail.

The fragrance belongs to the Woody family, which emphasizes its warm and stable base, suitable for autumn and winter days, as well as for evening outings where style with a touch of mystery is required.

Development on Skin

On the skin, Wind Wood unfolds as a dynamic story, starting with a refreshing burst of citrus and green notes, which smoothly transition into a floral-woody heart and end with a deep base with leather and musk accents.

This fragrance is for those seeking a balance between freshness and warmth, it is complimentary and easily adapts to different moods, becoming a faithful companion in daily life and special moments.

Creator and Influence

The creator of this composition was the legendary Pierre Montale, whose experience in creating Eastern and woody fragrances gave Wind Wood a unique character.

His work strengthened Mancera's reputation as a brand boldly experimenting with traditions, offering modern interpretations of classical themes.

Wind Wood became a testament to how a fragrance can expand the boundaries of perception, enriching the house's palette with new shades.

Similar Fragrances for Inspiration

If Wind Wood has captivated your sense of smell, pay attention to other woody and unisex compositions, such as Dior Fahrenheit with its gasoline notes, Givenchy Gentlemen Only for elegant everyday wear, or Mancera Aoud Violet, which continues the brand's Eastern-woody line.

Each of them offers its own perspective on men's and women's perfumery, expanding horizons for experimentation.

Description of the composition

The pyramid Wind Wood begins with a bright introduction: mandarin brings citrus freshness, pink pepper (red berries) adds a spicy spark, and green chord (green notes) brings natural juiciness, creating a refreshing start.

In the heart of the composition, delicate and earthy tones unfold: violet envelops with floral softness, and patchouli adds depth and mystery, forming a warm and intriguing center.

The base of the fragrance impresses with richness: ambergris and musk (white musk) give sensuality and longevity, cedar and vetiver strengthen the woody structure, leather chord brings elegant roughness, and oakmoss finishes the composition with earthy notes, creating a stable and memorable finish.

In my opinion, it's just another unisex. The cedar is too sharp, the greens are somehow damp, and the vetiver with moss create a depressing atmosphere. There's pepperiness, of course, but it doesn't save it. Longevity is decent, sillage is also there, but that doesn't make the fragrance better. Overall, if you don't want to bother, you can use it, but there's no pleasure from it ))))

The fragrance surprised me, but not how I expected. The citrus notes at the beginning are quite faint, but the woody ones immediately take over. Honestly, for girls, this might not be the most appealing option 😕

The scent is really spicy, sharp, and tart. It's so bold and harsh that it's perfect for men. Honestly, when I looked at the notes pyramid, I had a completely different idea about it 😄

Honestly, the fragrance seems too masculine. Many perfumes from this brand smell a bit rough and harsh on me, even though the description made me expect something completely different. Alas, it seems my skin distorts them this way 😒

This scent didn't really show up on me, it's too sharp an oud, with a lot of synthetic green notes and spices that are just overwhelming. I didn't pick up any flowers, musk, or citrus. I was expecting something totally different 😕

The scent is interesting, sure, but I wouldn't agree with those who call it feminine. It's too harsh and masculine, it practically assaults your brain. Wet wood, yeah, but it's not something you'd want to breathe in. The smell of a forest after rain? More like someone decided to water old furniture. I don't know how anyone could wear this, it's too intrusive

A strange scent, but it leaves a strong impression. I get wood, cool violet, and a slightly fizzy mandarin sweetness. It smells powerful, at times even masculine, but then a delicate floral note comes through and everything softens. My bottle is small, but you need so little of this stuff that it’ll last me ages!!

On a frosty clear day, it's just stunning, incredible! You feel a powerful stream of light enveloping you, creating a sensation of something cosmic and otherworldly. As if you're a tiny spark in the endless expanses of the universe! 🌌

The scent reminds me of fresh greenery, but after a while, an acidity starts to emerge. Sweetness with a tart, slightly rough background adds interest, but overall it's too intrusive. It lasts well on the skin, but the feeling of emptiness and gloom doesn't leave. It's not very pleasant to wear, as if it's oppressive. I don't know how to describe it, but it's definitely not for everyone )

The scent is not at all what I expected. It just confirmed that green notes are definitely not for me. Something from the past comes to mind, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is. All in all, this is definitely for those who like such things. You should definitely test it before buying, because the smell is really unusual. Like most fragrances from this brand, it's long-lasting and noticeable

This fragrance is clearly more for men than for women. It's too rich and sharp, it lacks the lightness I was expecting. It has complexity, but there's just no femininity in it. There's a kind of oppressive heaviness that's off-putting. I can't say it's my choice

This scent is kinda strange, like a forest before rain, when the breeze picks up and you can feel the dampness of the earth. It smells so much that even feathers and hides pop into my head. The musk here is a bit animalic, but overall not that repulsive, if you remember the name. While I was testing it, I got so engrossed I didn't even realize how appropriate it actually is. But this unsettling vibe of it really gets to me 😒
