Character and History of the Fragrance

100BON Musc & Jasmin is a 2021 eau de parfum created for those who appreciate clean, soft and delicately expressive compositions.

This unisex fragrance combines the floral expressiveness of jasmine with the airy, comforting character of white musk, making it easy to adapt to different styles and moods.

The release is part of the L'Atelier 100BON collection, a brand direction focused on simplicity, naturalness and a contemporary interpretation of perfumery classics.

This is a signature approach for 100BON: creating accessible, comfortable fragrances that are a pleasure to wear every day and easy to incorporate into a personal fragrance wardrobe.

Notes and Development

The stated composition features jasmine and white musk, with blackcurrant buds and clove listed among the additional notes.

The top and heart notes are not separately assigned in the base, so it is more accurate to perceive Musc & Jasmin as a unified accord in which green freshness, floral softness and musky cleanliness gradually blend into a single olfactory impression.

At the opening, the fragrance may come across as fresh and slightly spicy, thanks to its green and spicy nuances, before a more distinct jasmine facet emerges.

In the drydown, the composition becomes calmer, more transparent and warmer: white musk leaves a neat sensation of cleanliness on the skin without making the fragrance heavy or overly sweet.

Wearability and Sillage

Musc & Jasmin is positioned as a unisex fragrance with a floral and musky character.

Its moderate sillage is noticeable at close range but does not aim to fill the entire space, making the fragrance suitable for the office, walks, meetings and everyday activities.

The composition unfolds especially well in spring and summer, although its soft musky base also makes it suitable for the transitional seasons.

One to two sprays are enough for application to the skin; the same amount is best used on clothing to preserve the delicacy of the scent and avoid excessive intensity.

The Perfumer and the Brand’s Style

The fragrance was created by Jean-Claude Ellena, an author known for his attention to nuance, transparent textures and elegant restraint.

In Musc & Jasmin, this signature is evident in the formula’s lack of excess: jasmine remains airy, while musk creates a clean, almost tactile background.

Thanks to this balance, the fragrance may appeal to fans of understated white-floral perfumes and to those looking for a versatile musky option without pronounced dryness.

This is not a bold evening accent, but a polished, skin-close fragrance with a distinctive yet comfortable character.

Description of the composition

Composition

The fragrance pyramid of Musc & Jasmin features jasmine and white musk. The notes list also includes blackcurrant buds and clove.

Jasmine creates a soft white-floral heart with a subtle sensual nuance. White musk lends the composition cleanliness, smoothness and a calm powdery warmth.

Blackcurrant buds add a green, slightly tart nuance, while clove contributes a delicate spicy touch.

The top, middle and base notes are not specified separately, so the composition unfolds as a cohesive floral-musky accord.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Ellena's Musc & Jasmin is a lighter version of Jasmine de Pays. The jasmine is real, but more musky, plus the blackcurrant gives a green-fruity freshness

Jasmin de Pays is recognizable right away, this jasmine is hard to forget. It has a fecal note, and it both draws you in and makes you want to step away. Sweetish jasmine, with distinct animalic dirt underneath
