Calvin Klein launched Escape For Men in 1993 — and it was a brilliant move. By character, a masculine fragrance drawing from the fern and aromatic families. Perfumer Steven Demercado left a distinct mark on this composition. A fragrance from the Escape collection, in eau de toilette.
Expect a moderate sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. It stays on the skin for a good while — longevity is firmly in the moderate range. Country of origin — the United States. Escape For Men Calvin Klein — the choice of those who appreciate depth and character in every detail.
The fragrance has medium longevity and lasts on the skin for about 5-6 hours, gradually revealing its notes and leaving a pleasant impression
It can be felt in close proximity, but does not attract the attention of those around you
The perfume has a fresh scent that is not too intense, so it does not overwhelm those around you with strong essences
A light and elegant fragrance with harmonious richness—the perfect balance between the depth of eau de parfum and the freshness of cologne
Fragrances for spring and summer unfold with light citrus notes, floral and fruity accords, filling the composition with freshness, airiness, and a feeling of carefree lightness on warm days
The composition of Escape For Men evolves as an expressive line of development, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The style of Calvin Klein is clear from the opening to the final trail. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette sets the depth and body this composition needs.
At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Citrus, Wood, Fruit and Aquatic. The framework further includes Aromatic, Ambery and Earthy / Mossy.
At the opening of the pyramid you meet sparkling citrus top notes: Bergamot, Eucalyptus, Grapefruit and Juniper.
In the central layer you detect Birch, Cypress, Marine accord, Rosemary, Sage and Spruce keeping a velvety sandalwood direction.
The olfactory framework is driven by these accords: Aromatic, Citrus, Fruit and Wood without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Amber and Marine expand the olfactory volume in the background. The profile is masculine, which clarifies the composition character. In longevity terms Middle points to a sustained drydown presence.
Overall Escape For Men sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, and the base secures the trail.

In the early 2000s, the perfume company Coty, which acquired many brands, including Calvin Klein, began releasing Escape under its own label. The bottle remained frosted, but the composition on the box changed. The fragrance name is now closer to the middle, and the small print has become more compact. On the bottom of the bottle, there is no longer "Calvin Klein Cosmetics"; instead, "Coty Prestige" appeared, along with the country of production - "Fabrique en France" or "Fabrique en USA."
As for the recent reformulations, the composition remained the same, but the bottle became completely transparent. The design is similar to the previous one, with the name Escape positioned lower. It is also released under the Coty Prestige brand. Of all these versions, only the first vintage scent can be considered a true work of the perfumer. It is masculine, sensual, and at the same time fresh and deep, revealing itself beautifully on the skin. One spray fills the space, leaving a lasting sillage. Most of the declared notes are heard very clearly: eucalyptus melon, cypress birch, juniper citrus, sandalwood sage, mossy mango, and woody bergamot, all against the backdrop of a sea breeze. This is not just a set of incompatible notes, but true accords that intertwine in an amazing way.
The reformulated version is just a pale
