Note Pyramid of Shalimar Ode De La Vanille

The composition of Shalimar Ode De La Vanille is built on mixed notes, where vanilla and resins intertwine, creating a rich and multifaceted palette.

Vanilla gives the fragrance a sweet, creamy base reminiscent of dessert, while resins add depth, balsamic nuances, and warmth, characteristic of oriental perfumes.

This combination ensures a smooth development on the skin, without sharp transitions between notes, making the fragrance holistic and harmonious.

Unlike the classic Shalimar, here vanilla takes the forefront, offering a softer and more accessible character, ideal for daily wear.

The interplay of resins and vanilla creates a feeling of coziness and luxury, making this perfume a true delight for the sense of smell.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The smell is simply terrible. Vanilla is present here, of course, but it doesn't save it. It's so heavy and intrusive that it's just oppressive. No freshness, just suffocating sweetness. I can't understand how anyone can wear this

I waited a long time to get acquainted with this fragrance. I always liked the classic Shalimar, and Vanilla is generally my weakness. But what I got was a real disappointment. This chypre fragrance turned out to be too sharp and dense, as if it was created for another generation. I'm always wary of chypres; they evoke associations with something outdated, and I don't like such retro notes. The vanilla here is not sweet at all, but rather smoky and slightly salty. Although in the base it softens a bit and becomes slightly cloying. Woods, resins, and moss with bergamot create this chypre base, but, alas, it's not what I expected. I even received an anti-compliment, which greatly puzzled and upset me. I never thought someone would say I "smell" like a grandma

The vanilla here is truly rich and mysterious, and the chypre adds depth to it. This fragrance is like an embrace, creating an atmosphere of warmth and coziness in brown hues. It's clearly not for everyone, and that only emphasizes its uniqueness. My sister always admires it when I wear it, but as soon as she decided to try it, she was completely bewildered. All in all, it's not the simplest fragrance, and that's its charm

Too cloyingly sweet, with vanilla and tonka bean overpowering everything else. For me, this version smells like burnt caramel, which is totally unappealing and boring 😒

Doubts torment me, but there's still hope. I don't know if I should get it, but for winter, maybe it's not a bad option 🤔 Or maybe it's better to think it all through carefully before buying

The fragrance I tried gives me mixed feelings. The notes of Coca-Cola and vanilla, to be precise, remind me of the taste of Baikal drink, which is produced in Ukraine, for example, by BonBoisson. The lily here clearly stands out, but not vulgarly, rather subtly. And the base seems resinous, with a spicy and powdery undertone.

Honestly, it seemed quite quiet and close to the skin, as if hiding from others. I like vanilla, of course, both in perfumery and in other forms, but this scent leaves behind a certain mystery. I liked it, but I can't say it's unequivocally impressive
