Description of the composition

The composition of Iris d'Argent unfolds as a living composition, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Keiko Mecheri is evident in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de parfum sets the depth and body this composition needs.

In a unified mixed pyramid the opening appears as one connected movement with a soft-dry woody mood: Ambergris, Cedar, Citrus accord, Iris, Oak moss, Patchouli and Vetiver. In this format 7 notes work as one coherent layer, creating a sense of noble depth that reads as cohesive from the start.

The heart and base are felt as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Citrus, Wood, Powdery and Amber with each one in a clear role.

At the note-group layer the composition is built around Ambery, Wood, Citrus and Floral. The palette also extends to Earthy / Mossy and Whiteflower.

Overall Iris d'Argent reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best experienced through real development.
