Fragrance information:

Lush launched 25:43 in 2012 — and it was a brilliant move. A unisex fragrance rooted in the floral and citrus families. The fragrance was crafted by perfumers Mark Constantine and Simon Constantine. Created as part of the Gorilla Perfume collection. The fragrance concentration is eau de toilette.

Expect a moderate sillage — enough to be remembered, not enough to overwhelm. The longevity is genuinely phenomenal: firmly in the very high range. Country of origin — the United Kingdom, and that already says something about the quality. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of 25:43 is built as an expressive line of development, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Lush is clear in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

In a unified mixed pyramid the opening appears as one connected movement with a airy lemon mood: Lemongrass, Lime, Litsea cubeba, Tonka bean, Vanilla and ylang-ylang. Here 6 notes work as one integrated frame, forming a burst of citrus freshness that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The heart and base are perceived as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which gives the structure continuity.

The stylistic positioning is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence Very high suggests confident staying power.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Citrus, Wood, Spicy and Gourmet. The framework further includes Whiteflower and Floral.

Taken together 25:43 holds a coherent structure — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best experienced through real development.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Oh wow, I've wanted to try it for a long time, but it just didn't work out, and then they stopped bringing it in altogether. Someone told me that 25:43 smells like lemon shortbread cookies, but I smell something completely different in it. For me, it's more like dry wheat stalks, drenched in caramel and sprinkled with lemon zest. The scent is quite dry, there's a slight bready undertone, but it's definitely not gourmand or edible 😒

The fragrance is truly delightful, it's not overloaded with complex notes, yet it looks very stylish. For me, it's associated with the comfort of homemade baking and sweet duchesse pear soda. Honestly, when I saw the description with the notes, I was shocked - neither pear nor vanilla, which I smell, are listed here. But despite that, it evokes genuine joy and warmth 🌟
