History and Concept

In 2013, the house of M. Micallef introduced Collection Rouge No2, a fragrance included in the Art 2013 collection. This is an eau de parfum for women, belonging to the Oriental and Floral fragrance families.

The brand itself, founded in Grasse in 1996 by Martine Micallef and Geoffrey Nejman, strives to blur the line between art and perfumery, and this fragrance is a striking testament to that vision.

Character and Impression

Collection Rouge No2 is a sensual, enveloping fragrance that, despite its richness, leaves a soft sillage.

It is ideal for those who appreciate intimacy and sophistication.

Fans of this perfume may also enjoy compositions such as Brocard The Queen of Spades Classic, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen N.Y. Chic, and L`Antichambre Le Secret du Carnet.

Design and Inspiration

The fragrance bottle comes in a stylish, bright-red cubic shape, adorned with Swarovski crystals and topped with a silver mirrored cap.

This design reflects the passionate, charismatic nature of its wearer. The fragrance was created for refined women who are not afraid to express their individuality.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I couldn't understand why there were so few reviews for this version. In my head, I had the impression it would be similar to the first one, but these are two completely different fragrances. For me, it turned out to be quite heavy. From the very beginning, the animalic notes take over and don't let go until I wash the remnants off my skin. Now it makes sense why it has so few fans 😳

What an amazing fragrance! At first, the animalic note is simply shocking, but then it fades into the background, and fruits take its place - they're not too sweet and have a slight smokiness ) But I wish the sillage was stronger, otherwise it sits too close to the skin
