A fragrance that announces itself through musk and ambrette seeds really sparks interest. Cashmeran and black pepper add a piquancy to it, but I don't feel the "noir" quality that Lyubov Berlyanskaya mentions. It's like it envelops you, but without dark notes. Its longevity is simply phenomenal, despite its lightness. If you love musks, this fragrance is worth testing. And for those who want to dive into the world of Les Exceptions, this is where you should start. Otherwise, after Oriental Express and Woodissime, you simply won't notice it

Talking about musky fragrances, honestly, isn't that simple. Firstly, many simply don't understand them, and perception can vary greatly from person to person. To grasp it, you need time and desire, and most people simply have neither. Secondly, white musks often seem inexpressive and boring. But here's what's important: they change on the skin, and without warmth and moisture, they won't properly unfold.<br><br>As for Over the Musk, it's no exception. Different synthetic musks are clearly used here, but I distinctly feel exaltolide, which stands out thanks to the green-watery note of angelica. The other musks add subtle hints of flowers, wood, and leather. All of this merges into a quiet background that creates an atmosphere rather than standing out. You can catch notes of vanilla, cream, and iris in it, but they don't become overt, remaining within the framework of musky stability.<br><br>Interestingly, there are no animalic notes in this fragrance, although cashmeran and salicylates create a sensation of skin warmth. A light scent of melanin gives it vitality. Don't expect brightness from this musk - it's nothing like Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle. How the fragrance will develop on your skin is hard to predict, so it's best to try it beforehand

I expected gourmand and musk, as always from Mugler, but in reality, it's just ambrette here, and with some animalic nuance. It smells like dirt, although perhaps someone might find that appealing. I don't understand how anyone can wear this!!!

Over the Musk - it's just something incredible! Jean-Christophe Hérault really brought musk back to its natural, powerful sound. But in reality, this fragrance combines both true musky notes (a soft, quiet purr, emphasized by the oily scent of ambrette) and those familiar to everyone thanks to things like White Linen. It reminds you of freshly washed linen warmed by sunlight filtering through it. The result is a masterfully balanced composition in skin tones. Just wow! )))

The scent is truly subtle and refined, as if you've wrapped yourself in a cashmere scarf. It's not intrusive, but on my skin, which is quite warm by the way, the notes of pepper and musk are perfectly discernible. Cashmeran is also noticeable, but I barely pick up any ambrette. After a couple of hours, it becomes very close to the skin. I noticed that three times, girls in enclosed spaces asked what perfume I was wearing. It's interesting that it prompts such questions

The scent is soft and pleasant, the musk here is truly delicate. Surprisingly, I don't detect any pepper. It reminds me of Royal Muska by Micallef, also very feminine, but without the fruity and floral accents. It's more like the smell of warm fabric, as if a scarf or silk handkerchief is embracing you. I think it would be better suited for cool skin; on warmer skin, it might not unfold in the best way. On me, it leaves a light, cozy haze, but there's almost no sillage
