As for the fragrance itself, it's truly strange. Its unusualness isn't hidden deep down; it manifests immediately after a bright citrus opening, which, by the way, reminds one of Chyprissime. In the first moments, “Cologne” seems fresh, woody-citrusy, where you can detect mandarin, bergamot, and lemon on a soapy-musky base. But after a couple of minutes on the skin, or 15 minutes on a blotter - the scent of roasted coffee appears. It's quite realistic, but it doesn't smell like a coffee shop or freshly brewed espresso.
The coffee note in Hot Cologne changes the classic Cologne, and if at first it seems lively, it then becomes part of a bitter-woody accord with patchouli and oakmoss. In contrast to Cologne, Hot Cologne appears more polished, its facets brighter. Coffee - is a strange element for such fragrances. Under the influence of musks and citruses, its smell can resemble burnt wiring. This contrast immediately attracts attention and holds it until the end.
