Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Vjola evolves as a living composition, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Nishane is evident in the way notes appear and fade. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Perfume extract emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Floral, Whiteflower, Balsamic and Gourmet. It also reaches into Sweet. At family level the composition sits in Floral and Sweet.

In the first seconds you meet delicate floral top notes: Calendula, Lily of the Valley, Tuberose and Violet.

When the opening settles you sense Iris, Jasmine, Magnolia and Rose carrying a harmonious floral direction.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Balsamic, Floral, Fruit and Powdery forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop. The gender direction is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. For persistence High points to a sustained drydown presence.

Taken together Vjola holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the central phase adds depth, while the drydown anchors the memory. This is the type of composition best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Violet, thick and smoky, as if from magical forests, draws attention. This amazing flower, created by Murat Katran and Mert Güzel, the founders of Nishane, became not just the first niche project in Turkey, but also one of the most unique in Europe. They gave the world such fragrances as the warm and dry Afrika Olifant, which resembles elephant skin, the rocker-style Sultan Vetiver, and the fun pineapple chypre Hacivat. Although Vjola might seem less daring against their backdrop, its beauty is beyond doubt. Perhaps this is due to the mossy-green accents and an almost weightless powdery cloud that creates an effect of lightness )

What nonsense, not a work of art. No melancholy there, just pressed powder, as if someone decided to make lipstick out of violets. This accord of rose with tuberose and lily of the valley is just an abstraction, nothing more. It lasts a long time, about seven hours, but that doesn't mean it's light. The heaviness doesn't oppress, but it doesn't please either, it's just unbearable 😒
