Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Calypso Parfum is shaped as an expressive line of development, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The signature of Robert Piguet is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Perfume extract keeps the right density and pace of development.

From the first breath you meet petal-airy first notes: Geranium and Mandarin. These 2 notes set romantic softness that anchors the first impression immediately.

In the middle phase you notice Iris and Rose keeping a harmonious floral direction.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Citrus, Floral, Wood and Powdery with each one in a clear role. Background accords such as Amber and Leather add depth to the backdrop.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Floral, Citrus, Ambery and Wood. The palette also extends to Leather, Gourmet and Whiteflower. At family level the fragrance belongs to East and Floral.

The scent really impresses with its beauty and femininity, reminds me of something from the 80s, or maybe even earlier times. It feels so elegant and noble, the perfume is blended so smoothly it's hard to pick out individual notes. There's something similar to Narciso Rodriguez in the pink bottle, but this one evokes a bit of a sad or even pensive feeling 🌹
