What an AMAZING fragrance! 'Elena' by 'Novaya Zarya' is a true old-school gem that keeps me from forgetting the brand. It's cold and melancholic, with a dusty note that makes you ponder. The scent reminds me of a theater backstage, where mustiness intertwines with floral nuances, or an old wardrobe with remnants of mom's cosmetics. This combination evokes vivid associations. And its powdery-green sound truly resonates with Chanel 19 Poudré, although it's better not to look at 'Novaya Zarya's' pyramids. This fragrance is worth much more than its price

The creation of Breath of God, rumor has it, is linked to Constantine's memories of his trip to Mongolia. He wanted to convey the contrast between the cold wind in the steppe and the stuffy, spicy aroma of a yurt, so he blended existing Lush fragrances - Exhale and Inhale. The result was Breath of God. For me, this scent is surprisingly cold, yet very cozy; it combines citrus freshness with smoky notes. No sweetness, just pure cleanliness. I absolutely adore it! 😍

This fragrance, of course, looks nice, but in reality, it's just for show. No depth, just a scent for those who want to appear well-groomed. Maybe you can spray it on at night, but don't expect anything special 🤷‍♀️

This chypre definitely deserves attention! The opening with bright aldehydes reminds me of Knowing by Estée Lauder, but then it unfolds with bitter herbs, and in the finish, a powerful moss is felt, creating an atmosphere similar to modern Mitsouko edp. Interestingly, "Elixir" was released in the same year as another aldehyde novelty - Rive Gauche by YSL )

For me, Calvin Klein is a brand with an interesting history (I remember Obsession and Escape), but with a present that raises questions. Nevertheless, sometimes they can surprise with a good fragrance. Beauty comes to mind, which is simple but that's its charm, and Reveal is the one that truly captivated me. It's salty and sweet, fresh, but with a dusty note - for me, it's like the sea. But not on vacation with cocktails, rather in a stuffy wind that brings the scents of cracked earth, salty skin, and dried grass. I particularly like the black pepper note, it adds freshness to this oriental composition. A real find in the world of luxury 🌟

I had a real battle with Obsession: first I hated it, and now I can't live without it. This fragrance just blows your mind with its bright spices, but at the same time, it creates some strange addiction. You want to inhale it again and again. It came out the same year as Dior's Poison and became part of the legendary wave of 80s oriental fragrances, started by YSL's Opium in 1978. At first, it annoyed me, but now I consider it one of the most interesting and unusual scents I've ever encountered. It has great sillage, it's persistent, and it has both sweetness and moss. If you like neat office scents, you'd better pass on this one. I immediately feel a similarity to Dana's Tabu, although I'm only familiar with its modern version. And it immediately brings to mind how both fragrances were presented: Ann Gottlieb, creative director of Obsession, wanted to create «sexuality on the verge of vulgarity», while Jean Carles in 1932 conceived Tabu as a perfume for a «simple woman». It all really resonates

A fragrance that evokes mixed feelings. Oriental-floral, it's like it transports you back to childhood, but it's not entirely clear whether you like it or not. The scent reminds me of "mom's perfume" - something familiar, yet strange. Sweetish, simple, but cozy, like an old blanket. It would be interesting to try the original from Ernest Beaux. Don't expect anything grand, but for its price, it's quite justified. Kobako can be found in Russian online stores for 10 euros, which is a pleasant surprise 👍
