Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid of Carven Paris Manille begins with a vibrant start: carambola and pink pepper create a juicy and spicy accord that instantly captivates with its exotic freshness.

In the heart of the composition, plum and wormwood unfold, adding fruity sweetness and green freshness, which gives the fragrance depth and intrigue, reminiscent of warm summer days.

The base notes of white musk and patchouli provide longevity and a warm, earthy finish, harmoniously concluding the composition and leaving a delicate trail on the skin.

This dynamic evolution from the initial spiciness through the fruity-green heart to the cozy woody base makes Paris Manille a multifaceted and memorable fragrance that evolves throughout the day, offering new nuances with each application.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Good work, a truly high-quality chypre. Patchouli and plum here combine perfectly with bitter herbs and spices. The fragrance is fresh and sharp, yet very elegant and noble. Definitely worth paying attention to, especially if you love chypre compositions 🌸

What an amazing chypre! The fragrance is simply stunning. Plum with the bright fruity tartness of carambola creates an incredibly exotic sensation. Wormwood and pepper, along with musk and patchouli - it's all in harmony. A truly rare case where you can detect the entire pyramid

I wouldn't say chypre fragrances are my weakness, but this particular scent surprised me. It's as if it removes all the negative associations I had with this category. A very harmonious composition with a European style, which makes it stand out among others. A real competitor on the market! ))

Plum with mossy notes, framed by bitter wormwood, creates an interesting scent. It's a chypre, but it sounds modern. Sisley is a classic for me, but this perfume leans a bit towards the oriental side

This patchouli fragrance is simply a nightmare. The first thing that hits your nose is some icy camphor that seems to cut into your head and spread everywhere, leaving only unpleasant sensations. Following this sharp start, dark patchouli appears, but it's so dry and clean that it seems unnatural. I understand it's patchouli, but its boundaries are blurred, and it only causes bewilderment.

The strangest thing is how the main note is handled. I looked at the pyramid, and instead of the expected vetiver and grapefruit, there were carambola and plum. This surprised me, but not in a good way. It seems the perfumer tried to create something similar to Red Vetiver Montale, but it only turned out confusing. Deep in the composition, I found some apricot-plum nuance which, together with musk, creates something strange and uncomfortable.

I don't know what carambola smells like, but it seems to be responsible for this watery-tropical hint that you can only catch if you try very hard. The perfumer's work is surprising, but not in a positive sense - the fragrance is not multifaceted, but rather tangled and incomprehensible. If you like patchouli and modern chypres with fruits, then Paris-Manille might suit you, but I wouldn't recommend it 😒

On me, the fragrance turned out to be too bitter and spicy. Unfortunately, I didn't experience the beauty that everyone talked about. It smelled completely different on the blotter. You definitely should test it on yourself before deciding to buy it

The fragrance really sparks curiosity. Plum is quite sharp, and the fruity notes are sweet-sour, creating an interesting contrast. Musk adds depth, and the spicy accord gives it a certain mystery. I expected to find wormwood, but unfortunately, I didn't detect it. Overall, I can't decide if I like it or not

Chypre, plum, wormwood, pepper, and patchouli - that's what's mixed in here. Musk and starfruit, unfortunately, aren't felt, which is a shame, I would have liked them. Overall, the fragrance isn't bad, it smells beautiful and elegant. Longevity is also good, but something is missing 😒

The patchouli in this fragrance is quite bright, with a bitter and earthy undertone, adding a bit of pepper and plum jam. It's simply an excellent choice for autumn, but only if you're not afraid of patchouli 😄

A scent that's hard to grasp immediately. It's soft, chypre, but not too intrusive. It starts with herbaceous patchouli notes, and then a light chypre quality unfolds in the heart. But it's so smoothed out that it doesn't cause discomfort, it doesn't hit you in the nose. This isn't a scent that immediately jumps out at you. There's a slight sweetness from fruits, but not too cloying, without vanilla. In the base, there's a dense, oily patchouli that's pleasant to wear. Overall, it's unisex, not loud, rather politically correct. Ideal for the office, all in subtle nuances 🤔

The fragrance, like Paris Mascate, truly has its own unique charm. Plum, wormwood, and patchouli create a real atmosphere. The spicy accent is present, but it's not too intrusive. The scent is dense, leaves a trail, and pleases with its longevity

This chypre fragrance truly impresses with its elegance and depth. First, you notice a bright ripe plum with pink pepper, which immediately catches your attention. Then it unfolds with artemisia and patchouli, creating an interesting composition on a musky base. Out of the entire collection, this particular perfume captivated me the most with its magical scent 🌸

What a strange approach to fruity chypre fragrances. It all looks like an attempt to make something noble and elegant, but in reality, it just turns out memorable because of this musky and artemisia-patchouli base. And the fruits? They seem to be here just for show, with a hint of pepper, but nothing more. I don't know, maybe someone will like it, but I find it just intrusive and unbearable ))

Carven Paris Manilla eau de parfum is just incredible! It stands out from the rest and evokes different associations for everyone. There's almost no information about the brand, and nothing at all is known about the perfumer. Facebook suggests diving into mysterious Asian patchouli, which transports you to a world of myths and temptation. The fragrance name - Manilla - is linked to the capital of the Philippines, where this shrub grows, emphasizing its oriental roots. The fragrance is classified as a floral chypre, but some consider it a classic woody scent. This diversity is where the magic of this fragrance lies ✨

I can't say how it would sound on a man, but on me, a blonde, this fragrance is simply magnificent. Warm and spicy, it evokes true delight. I enjoyed it all night, and it doesn't get tiresome or irritating. The main thing is that it's not sweet. Reminiscent of oriental notes. Simply a fairy tale
