Released in 2017, Carven Paris Manille is a women's fragrance from the legendary French house Carven, a brand whose history is infused with the spirit of freedom and youth in postwar Paris.
This perfume is part of the prestigious The Collection line, highlighting its exclusivity and connection to the brand's heritage.
Paris Manille, known in Russia as "Paris Manila," presents a harmonious blend of chypre and fruity chords, making it a modern interpretation of classic themes.
As a women's fragrance, Carven Paris Manille is perfect for confident young women who appreciate elegance with a hint of exoticism.
In Eau de Parfum format, it offers balanced longevity, unfolding gradually on the skin.
For optimal effect, spot application on pulse points is recommended, and to create a light fragrance cloud, try entering the cloud by spraying it on clothing.
This perfume is ideal for the spring-summer season, adding freshness to everyday looks or evening outings, thanks to its multifaceted character.
Carven, founded in 1945, has always been associated with innovation and femininity, and Paris Manille continues this tradition by offering a contemporary take on chypre compositions.
Although information about the specific perfumer is unavailable, the fragrance reflects the brand's DNA through bold combinations of notes, such as fruity, green, and woody accents.
This makes it a significant release in Carven's portfolio, attracting the attention of refined perfume enthusiasts and strengthening the brand's reputation as a creator of unique aromatic stories.
If you enjoyed Paris Manille, be sure to try these similar options: Sisley Soir de Lune with its romantic notes, Montale Tropical Wood for lovers of exotic woody chords, and Jacques Fath Ellipse, which offers an elegant fruity-floral composition.
Each of them reveals new facets in the world of perfumery, allowing you to expand your collection and find the perfect complement for different moods.

The fragrance is highly persistent and lasts on the skin for up to 8–10 hours, gradually revealing its notes and allowing you to enjoy the full bouquet throughout the day
The scent is clearly present near you, but it does not fill the entire space
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Perfumes for the fall and winter seasons often contain notes of vanilla, spices, ambergris, wood, and other warm accords, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth during the cold months
The fragrance pyramid of Carven Paris Manille begins with a vibrant start: carambola and pink pepper create a juicy and spicy accord that instantly captivates with its exotic freshness.
In the heart of the composition, plum and wormwood unfold, adding fruity sweetness and green freshness, which gives the fragrance depth and intrigue, reminiscent of warm summer days.
The base notes of white musk and patchouli provide longevity and a warm, earthy finish, harmoniously concluding the composition and leaving a delicate trail on the skin.
This dynamic evolution from the initial spiciness through the fruity-green heart to the cozy woody base makes Paris Manille a multifaceted and memorable fragrance that evolves throughout the day, offering new nuances with each application.

The strangest thing is how the main note is handled. I looked at the pyramid, and instead of the expected vetiver and grapefruit, there were carambola and plum. This surprised me, but not in a good way. It seems the perfumer tried to create something similar to Red Vetiver Montale, but it only turned out confusing. Deep in the composition, I found some apricot-plum nuance which, together with musk, creates something strange and uncomfortable.
I don't know what carambola smells like, but it seems to be responsible for this watery-tropical hint that you can only catch if you try very hard. The perfumer's work is surprising, but not in a positive sense - the fragrance is not multifaceted, but rather tangled and incomprehensible. If you like patchouli and modern chypres with fruits, then Paris-Manille might suit you, but I wouldn't recommend it 😒
