Fragrance information:

The year 2005 gave us Shanaan M. Micallef. This is a unisex fragrance rooted in the east family. By character, it falls into the citrus and balsamic groups. The fragrance is presented as eau de parfum.

It carries a noticeable sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. Recommended dosage: 1-2 sprays on skin, 2-3 sprays on clothing. This fragrance doesn't rush to leave — you can count on high longevity. France is where this fragrance comes from — and it shows. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Shanaan is shaped as a layered story, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The creative approach of M. Micallef is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum keeps the right density and pace of development.

The accord architecture is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Musc and Wood without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Amber, Oriental and Mineral add depth to the backdrop. The gender direction is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read. In longevity terms High suggests confident staying power. In diffusion Noticeable describes the way the scent radiates.

Right at the start you catch invigorating sunny first notes: Lemon and Petitgrain.

In the middle phase you detect Cedar, Frankincense, Incense and Patchouli holding a spicy-woody direction.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Balsamic, Citrus, Wood and Animals. The palette also extends to Musk and Gourmet.

Overall Shanaan reads as a cohesive composition — the start forms character, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fragrance is truly beautiful, with an oriental character. It's not too sweet, which is a pleasant surprise. It reminds me of those Arabian perfumes that were popular in Soviet times. On a man, it unfolds simply magnificently, somewhat similar to Tom Ford's perfumes
