Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The rose here is really heavy, with dominant oud and woody notes. Citrus accents appear only occasionally, as if trying to break through this dense curtain. Overall, the feeling is that something important is slipping away, and only this heaviness remains. As if something is gone forever. )))

Again, I only detect two main notes - oud and rose. With Montale, this combination is truly very bright. On one hand, it looks beautiful, but on the skin, it feels a bit heavy. I never finished using the sample

Montale's pyramids are truly impressive, but something about their scents bothers me. When testing on skin, blotter, and even clothes, there's a chemical feel, as if the aromatics aren't entirely natural. And that acetone. I can't figure out if I like it or not. A strange feeling, honestly ))

There's definitely more saffron than roses in this scent, and I like that. It combines passion and harmony, creating a warm feeling. I think it would sound really interesting on a man, it would be great to hear opinions 🌹

I tried this fragrance three years ago. At first, I really liked it, but then it became too intrusive. I still have a full 20 ml bottle. I wonder if such a scent would suit a man with a striking oriental appearance

I agree with Natalia, here you only hear the trio: rose, musk, and oud, as if someone put a Jericho trumpet on your ears. The longevity is simply incredible, the sillage is such that you could get lost in a ten-meter wave. A 100 ml bottle, it seems, will last an eternity. You really have to love this fragrance to wear it. It's so strongly felt that you can easily get tired of it and suffocate everyone around you 😅

This fragrance is a real heavy hitter, the rose here just fills the entire space. There's too much oud, and because of that, everything else gets lost. The brightness and intensity are just off the charts, such a loud scent is not for me. It would be difficult to wear, too intrusive

This is too much. The roses here are definitely overdone. Rather, it's a combination of Rose Musk with oud. It sounds very powerful and bright, even the slightest drop can knock you off your feet. This fragrance is definitely not for ordinary people

The rose here, as if in shadow, blends with woody notes and musk, creating a feeling of something lost. Saffron adds bitterness, like a reminder that beauty always has its price. This fragrance evokes sadness, like a memory of something important that can no longer be brought back 🌹

The wood here is clearly overpowering, and the citruses are like somewhere far away, barely audible. There's not enough brightness and freshness for the scent to truly come alive. I want something more intense and vibrant, something that inspires and awakens the imagination )

I don't like this scent at all! The little rose is too intrusive and heavy, simply unbearable!! When it fades a bit, then you can smell something else, but at the beginning - it's just awful

A fragrance that is difficult to evaluate unequivocally. It has both rose and saffron, but it's not quite what you expect. It seems as if it's borrowed from oriental perfumery, but at the same time, something about it is unsettling. I can't figure out if I like it or not. The similarity to oriental perfumes is indeed palpable, but there's something unique about it that makes you ponder

Listen, I'm going through Montale fragrances here, and honestly, this endless wandering is getting on my nerves. Each one seems good, but I can't choose. I get that the search process can be interesting, but sometimes you just want to make up your mind and not waste time. These scents with their bold openings are just wild! For example, the warm saffron in one of them - on one hand, it's captivating, but on the other, it's so loud it makes your ears ring. I don't want to spend two hours sniffing flowers and woods every time, even if they are great. I'm tired of it already!
