Scents of eras: how perfume reflects the spirit of the times
Every era has its own scent. Not literally, but in how it felt: what it wanted, what it feared, what...
In a world where sophistication meets mystery, Montale in 2011 introduced a fragrance that became a gem in the collection Around The Fruits.
Dark Purple is not just a perfume, but a journey into the depths of sensuality, created under the guidance of visionary Pierre Montale.
As part of the brand's DNA, it embodies the philosophy of blending Parisian elegance with Eastern mysteries, offering to wear it as a feminine accessory for those seeking more than just a fragrance.
Dark Purple opens with a bright play of orange and juicy plum, creating a refreshing start that smoothly transitions into the heart of the composition.
Here, rose and geranium intertwine with spicy accents of pink pepper and earthy patchouli, forming a multifaceted bouquet.
In the base, amber, musk, and teak wood give a long, warm resonance, making the fragrance ideal for cool evenings or special occasions.
As an eau de parfum, Dark Purple has balanced longevity and medium sillage that envelops you without overwhelming others.
For optimal effect, it is recommended to dose "enter the cloud" on skin and "enter the cloud" on clothing: 2-3 sprays on wrists and neck will ensure even development, and a light cloud on hair or scarf will extend the magic throughout the day.
This fragrance from the Floral and Oriental families is particularly good in autumn and winter, adding mystery to any look.
The creativity of Pierre Montale has always been distinguished by boldness, and Dark Purple is a bright example of this.
Working within a brand founded on Eastern motifs, he managed to unite fruity and floral elements into a harmonious composition that enhanced Montale's reputation as a master of intense, emotional fragrances.

If Dark Purple has captured your heart, it's worth paying attention to its kindred spirits.
For example, Montale Roses Musk offers a more delicate rose-musk variation, while Montale Intense Cafe surprises with coffee-floral accents.
For lovers of sweetish oriental notes, Mancera Roses Vanille becomes a worthy alternative, continuing the theme of luxurious floral-fruity compositions.
The fragrance is highly persistent and lasts on the skin for up to 8–10 hours, gradually revealing its notes and allowing you to enjoy the full bouquet throughout the day
It can be felt in close proximity, but does not attract the attention of those around you
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Perfumes for the fall and winter seasons often contain notes of vanilla, spices, ambergris, wood, and other warm accords, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth during the cold months
The Dark Purple note pyramid begins its narrative with a playful duo of orange and plum, which give a fresh, slightly tart start, reminiscent of juicy fruits in the sunset rays.
At the heart of the fragrance unfolds a rich bouquet: geranium adds green accents, rose brings romantic tenderness, while pink pepper and patchouli create a spicy-earthy contrast, making the composition multifaceted and intriguing.
On the base, amber and musk envelop with warmth, and teak wood adds a persistent woody note, concluding the journey with a soft, cozy trail that lingers long on the skin.

After a while, the composition expands, and I start to feel plum-rose-orange-patchouli. The orange behaves playfully: it appears then disappears, and in the base, it gradually fades, giving way to musk, which unfolds more and more. It's simply amazing! I don't detect pepper or amber, geranium sometimes flits by, but not often.
The scent is luxurious and expensive, definitely not for the office or everyday wear - it needs a special time. Evening is its element. It loves warmth, losing its magic in the cold. One spray is more than enough, as with all Montale fragrances, the longevity is phenomenal, the sillage is simply long. Definitely worth trying! ✨
