Perfume information

Description of the composition

Top notes of Arabie open with juicy dates and dried fruits, complemented by fresh mandarin and a sweet accord, creating an intriguing and fruity start.

In the heart of the composition, spices reign: cumin, cloves, and nutmeg, intertwined with balsamic benzoin and resins, as well as sweet tonka beans, adding depth and warmth.

The base of the fragrance is built on solid woody notes: cedar and sandalwood, which provide stability and longevity, completing the composition with an elegant and cozy finish.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Oriental spices scent - just awful. It's bright and deep, but kind of wild. Not for everyone, no matter how many times you say it. It annoys me - these loud spices, as if they were poured into soup. A friend says it's not spices, but a set for spicy soup. And it reminds me of a pharmacy tincture - sharp and dry, as if in an alchemist's shop. I don't understand how anyone could wear it

Some noisy bazaar where oriental scents just overwhelm. Dried fruits lie on the shelves, and next to them spices that seem to scream about themselves. The sound of this scent is so powerful and hot that at times it becomes unbearable 😔

This fragrance has become a true discovery for me. In any season and any weather, it's always with me. If I had to describe it in one word, it would be joy. I sense spices and dried fruits in it, although the laurel note isn't listed, in cold, damp weather it's especially bright. Overall, its sound doesn't depend on the weather. Its longevity is excellent. My passion for perfumery started with it. Before, I only had 1-2 bottles on my shelf, and I didn't look for new scents until they ran out. One day I tried "Baptism by Fire" in Moscow and really liked it. I decided to buy it in St. Petersburg, but it wasn't available at Rive Gauche. They offered other fragrances, and "Arabi" was excellent. That's when I started to wonder what other scents might be in this world 🌧️

The fragrance is truly rich, with clear resinous notes. Oriental accents are at the forefront here, spices and sweetness simply fill the space. It's very bright and long-lasting, leaving no one indifferent. You can feel there's something of dried fruits in it, which gives it lightness and a bit of joy. But overall, it might seem too loud for some

An oriental fragrance in winter is what can truly brighten up gloomy weekdays. It fits perfectly into our usual winter wardrobe with cozy sweaters and warm coats. This perfume brings to mind vibrant markets where the spirit of oriental trade reigns: spices, sweet dates and prunes, and the smoke of incense. The creators, Serge Lutens and Christopher Sheldrake, managed to craft an amazingly harmonious composition that lifts the mood and gives warmth. It's a true antidepressant for the soul

You can feel the atmosphere of an oriental bazaar without even leaving your home - there's warmth, the breath of many people, ringing copper, the aromas of ripe fruits, and endless rows of bright spices. Arabie is like a whole palette of spices, date molasses in pastries, hot pilaf, and scalding tea in a beautiful cup. This composition is loud and powerful, it's not for drab offices, but enjoying it in tea houses, ethnic restaurants, or just at home - that's truly pleasant 🥰

What the hell, this is amazing! Repeated tests showed that this fragrance is just loaded with dates. It feels like there's a stall nearby with various spices and smoking paraphernalia. Yes, this is definitely an oriental bazaar, and for autumn, it's simply gorgeous

This scent is clearly not for everyday use. Dried fruits and pine needles are just screaming here, as if they're not getting enough attention. A complex and hot combination, but not in a good way. The longevity, of course, is decent, but that doesn't save the situation 😒

This scent, damn, it's just like something from an oriental market. The dried fruits are bright, yeah, but they take you to a world where spices and sweets mix into some hellish mess. It definitely grabs attention, but this blend brings more sadness than joy

Honestly, this is a complete failure, and it's all because there's just too much clove here. The fragrance is deep, of course, and the sweetness of dried fruits in it is genuinely appealing, but these strange spices with the intrusive clove are just off-putting. You want to run away from this scent, not enjoy it 😤

The fragrance is truly rich, with vibrant spices and warm amber. It feels like it envelops you, creating a cozy atmosphere. You can sense dried fruits in it, which perfectly combine with nuts and cloves. It reminds you of homemade baking that brings joy and warmth

Serge Lutens' fragrances truly have a special and unique atmosphere. This perfume feels like it transports you to the world of Eastern countries, where spices and rich balsamic notes reign. They certainly won't suit everyone, but for those who appreciate such things, it's a real find 🌟

The fragrance is beautiful, of course, but damn, it's too atmospheric for my taste. I like it when a perfume takes you to another time or place, but it's not quite like that here. Mandarins sound decent, but the spices and dried fruits create a sense of dusty nostalgia that weighs on the soul. The alcoholic notes add some strange aftertaste that isn't pleasant. Overall, I don't know, maybe it's just not my day, but this fragrance leaves a bitter aftertaste

I adore this sunny oriental fragrance, it's like it transports me to a dried fruit shop! 🌞 But it's best to test it before buying to see if it suits you

What an amazing fragrance this is! It's bright, rich, and truly deep. It has so many facets, and the oriental notes are simply mesmerizing. I detect the sweetness of dried fruits, spicy accents, woody nuances, and a light honeyed sillage. It's simply inspiring! )
