From the vineyards of Burgundy to perfumery peaks

Jérôme Epinette is one of the most sought-after and recognizable "hands" in modern perfumery, a master whose fragrances have captured the hearts of millions. Born in the heart of French winemaking, Burgundy, he was immersed from childhood in a world of subtle flavors - ripe fruit, wet earth and oak barrels. These sensory experiences shaped his unique perceptions and prefigured a destiny torn between cooking, winemaking and perfumery. The support of his mother, who worked in the industry, and summer internships finalized his choice.

A foundation of craftsmanship and a move to New York City

A solid education in biochemistry and graduation from the prestigious Grasse Institute of Perfumery laid a solid foundation for his career. In 2003, Epinette's talent was noticed by the legendary Robertet company, where he began his journey. Just three years later, fate took a decisive turn - the perfumer moved to New York, to the Robertet Fragrances creative center, where a new world of opportunities and freedom of expression opened up to him.

Architect of iconic brands

It was in New York that his talent as a brand creator blossomed. Jérôme Epinette is credited with architecting the DNA of iconic brands such as Byredo, Atelier Cologne and Vilhelm Parfumerie. His collaboration with Byredo's Ben Gorham gave the world the sensational Bal d'Afrique, a sunny, vibrant hit that became the house's signature. For Atelier Cologne he created dozens of compositions that defined the canons of modern perfumed water, and for Vilhelm Parfumerie - almost the entire line, filled with bright, cinematic images.

The best perfumes that have become favorites of the community

In the portfolio of the master - dozens of fragrances, but some of them have become truly cult and invariably head the popularity ratings. These are juicy and seductive Mango Skin, cozy and tea Dear Polly, invigorating and elegant Morning Chess. Fans also appreciate his work for Byredo: the enigmatic 1996 Inez & Vinoodh, the delicate La Tulipe and the versatile Bergamote Soleil. Each of his fragrances is a topic for lively discussion.

Versatile style from niche to haute couture

Jérôme Epinette's signature is impeccable freshness, crystal-clear lines and the ability to bring out the naturalness of an ingredient, be it tropical mango, bergamot or sandalwood. His style is remarkably versatile. He easily creates sophisticated niche compositions for Olfactive Studio or Room 1015, and then epitomizes affordable luxury for Zara and And Other Stories. Recently, his talent has turned to the world of haute couture, enriching Dolce & Gabbana 's "fruity" collection with juicy Orange and Lemon.

A legend of modern perfumery

Today, Jérôme Epinette is the bridge between art and commerce, between a deep niche and a wide audience. His work for Anna Sui, Banana Republic, Guess and many other houses proves that genuine quality and creativity can be sought after at any level. He continues to inspire the industry, proving that a true perfume legend is born not only in Grasse, but in a bold dialog of cultures, traditions and modern trends.
