Step into the avant-garde world of Comme des Garçons Parfums with Wonderoud, a perfume water that debuted in 2014.
This fragrance captures the brand's radical Japanese design ethos, offering a scent that challenges norms and invites exploration.
As part of the niche perfume landscape, it stands out for its unisex appeal and innovative approach to oriental and woody families, making it a timeless addition for perfume enthusiasts.
Wonderoud is crafted as a versatile unisex fragrance, perfect for anyone seeking depth and sophistication.
With a medium trail, it leaves a balanced presence that is noticeable yet not overwhelming.
For optimal enjoyment, use pointwise application on skin and from 1 to 2 sprays on clothing to allow the scent to evolve gracefully throughout the day.
Ideal for cooler evenings or special occasions, its woody and oriental character adds an air of mystery and elegance to any setting.
The artistic vision behind Wonderoud comes from perfumers Antoine Maisondieu and Christian Astuguevieille, who have blended their expertise to reflect Comme des Garçons Parfums' commitment to innovation.
This scent reinforces the brand's reputation for pushing boundaries in niche perfumery, appealing to those who value uniqueness and quality.
By exploring rich accords, it invites wearers to experience a sensory journey that transcends traditional fragrance categories.

A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Perfumes for the fall and winter seasons often contain notes of vanilla, spices, ambergris, wood, and other warm accords, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth during the cold months
Wonderoud's composition is a rich tapestry of woody notes that unfold with complexity and depth. It features guaiac wood, oud, patchouli, sandalwood, Texas cedar, and vetiver.
The oud note provides a deep, animalic core that anchors the scent, while sandalwood adds a creamy softness and patchouli introduces an earthy, grounding touch.
Guaiac wood and Texas cedar contribute smoky, resinous nuances that enhance the woody backbone, and vetiver offers a fresh, grassy contrast to balance the richness.
As the fragrance develops, these elements harmonize into a warm, lingering trail that evolves from initial sharpness to a comforting, sophisticated finish, making each wear a unique olfactory experience.

It's not bad, I guess, but nothing special. Warm, yes, but not for frosty weather, rather for when you're sitting in a cozy sweater with tea. Agreed, in such moments it might seem pleasant, but it's no reason to be thrilled. In summer, it will most likely just get lost among other fragrances.
And this note pyramid - well, I don't know, it's just not impressive. Texas cedar, oud, patchouli - all this has been done before, nothing new. The perfumer, of course, tries, but in my opinion, this isn't a case for rejoicing ))))
"Wonderoud" is a warm, woody-powdery, and deep scent. As it develops, it transforms its dark and cold dryness into notes of bitter chocolate. The aroma's sound is multifaceted: there's Texas cedar, Orpur molecule, Indonesian patchouli, Australian sandalwood, Haitian vetiver, and guaiac wood. Pashminol adds longevity, extending the sillage. Honestly, I liked this sillage more than "Wonderwood's". Antoine Maisondieu really outdid his colleague, well done! ))
