Fragrance information:

Cinnabar (2015) Estée Lauder, created in 2015, is marketed as a feminine fragrance, falling within the spicy and east families. The fragrance belongs to the spicy, citrus, and whiteflower groups. The palette of this fragrance is exceptionally rich: traces of balsamic can also be found — a rare combination that makes this perfume truly one of a kind. Concentration — eau de parfum: exactly what it needs to be.

The sillage is moderate — present, but never overpowering. Longevity is moderate — not too much, not too little, just right. Produced in the United States, where perfumery has long been elevated to an art form. A rich, layered composition that reveals itself differently depending on your mood and the time of day.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The scent of Cinnabar (2015) evolves as a living composition, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The style of Estée Lauder is recognizable in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de parfum keeps a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

Right at the start you sense delicate white floral opening notes: Jasmine, Orange blossom and Tangerine.

In the central layer you sense Clove, Lily and Lily of the Valley carrying a silky white floral direction.

The accord profile is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Citrus, Floral and Wood with each one in a clear role. Background accords such as Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In longevity terms Middle suggests confident staying power.

At olfactory-group level the profile is anchored in Balsamic, Citrus, Spicy and Whiteflower. The framework further includes Wood and Gourmet.

Taken together Cinnabar (2015) holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best understood through real development.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

2
Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Citrus notes with rich lily, but it's too bitter. Clove oil is also noticeable, giving it a spicy, almost medicinal undertone. This is definitely not for everyone!!

For me, "Cinnabar" is like a close relative of Opium, but from 2009. Many say Cinnabar is hot, but for me, it's rather cold, and this coldness, it's like it burns. Citrus notes are noticeable, they give it a sharpness, while Opium seems so soft and smooth. I like both fragrances, but there's something about them that makes me sad for what's gone
