Description of the composition

The pyramid of notes in Estée Lauder Desert Eden is built on the harmonious combination of three key components: frankincense, rose and sandalwood.

Frankincense adds depth and balsamic warmth to the composition, creating an atmosphere of mystery. Rose contributes a delicate floral note that softens and enriches the fragrance.

Sandalwood provides a stable woody base, giving it longevity and completeness.

Together, these notes form a balanced and inspiring composition that unfolds smoothly, from the first moments to the final sillage.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The rose in this fragrance is like a light breeze, and the sandalwood and frankincense add depth to it. But here's the catch, as soon as you start to enjoy it, it disappears. Honestly, I don't know what to think. I have to reapply every five minutes just to get a whiff of it. But overall, both the rose and frankincense are delightful, that's for sure 🌹

The scent of cold chypre rose is truly delightful, it's like a fresh breeze bringing lightness and tenderness. A powdery pink hue adds sophistication, and a post-rain humidity creates a feeling of freshness. Aldehydes play their part here, lending the fragrance a coolness. The incense doesn't evoke anything gloomy; instead, it adds an interesting chill that's a pleasant surprise

I looked at new releases that seemed interesting. Disappointed! I wasn't expecting roses, but here it is again. Bored. But curious what else will come. If they come out, I'll try.

Desert Eden - powerful! Anne Flipo made rose with incense. Not new, but great. Rose and incense equal, bright and transparent, bridge east and west. Rose sweetish with berry, not gourmand, has a cool geranium. Incense with aldehydes, smoldering with smoke. Sandalwood fragrant, with cinnamon and cedar. Reminds of Guerlain Encens Mythique, but that is thicker. Desert Eden gives a touch of the east through a European lens. For me the most beautiful in the line.

This scent is clearly from another era! It's so serious and masculine, you immediately feel its retro style. It has a lot of leather notes that remind you of something old, and the iris root adds an interesting accent. At first, the iris seems damp, and then it turns into something softer and velvety. But after a couple of hours, a rather harsh smell remains on the skin, reminiscent of tar and something chemical, like we're in an old warehouse!!! This scent brings back nostalgia for the 90s, when groups of men used to gather. But, honestly, wearing it now isn't very relevant. With a smell like that, you could easily end up on a blacklist, and they just won't let you into a decent place. Maybe it's suitable for those who want to remember old times, but for everyday life, it's not the best choice

The rose is fresh, if this is the chypre everyone's talking about, then it smells very weak. The frankincense never really opened up for me. It's more like a convoluted story with hints from another company 🌹
