Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Oud Edition is built as a layered story, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The style of Montale is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum emphasizes a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Balsamic, Leather, Wood and Floral. It also reaches into Musk and Gourmet. Within olfactory families the composition sits in East.

When the structure is mixed the fragrance opens as a single chord with a noble cedar mood: Frankincense, Leather accord, Oud, Rose, Sandalwood and musk.

The inner phases are perceived as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which keeps the fragrance coherent.

The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Floral, Musc and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. Additional accords such as Leather expand the olfactory volume in the background.
