Identity and Release History of Amber Fever

In 2019, the French house Mancera, known for its luxurious perfumery with an oriental character, introduced the universal fragrance Amber Fever.

Released as eau de parfum, this unisex perfume belongs to the oriental, floral, and gourmand families, promising a rich and emotional journey.

Development and Character of the Fragrance

Amber Fever begins with a bright explosion of sweet and spicy notes, which smoothly transition into a delicate floral heart, and then settle into a warm and stable base.

With a medium trail, the fragrance leaves behind a noticeable but not overwhelming trace, making it complimentary and suitable for various situations.

Its development on the skin is gradual, revealing different facets over time, from initial energy to deep serenity.

Usage Recommendations

For ideal application, apply 1 to 2 sprays to the skin on pulse points or 2 to 3 sprays on clothing for a longer effect.

Amber Fever particularly shines in cool weather, evening events, or intimate settings, thanks to its enveloping and sensual character.

It pairs excellently with autumn-winter wardrobes and adds charm to any look, making it an ideal choice for dates or special occasions.

Place in the World of Perfumery

As part of the legacy of Mancera, Amber Fever embodies the brand's DNA – a blend of French elegance and oriental depth.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

I hope this fragrance manages to create a harmonious blend of hazelnut and caramel. My expectations are high, I want to wear it in winter. I don't think it will smell like Nutella, rather it will be something deeper and more serious ✨

Ambery wood in its usual form, with a slight boozy undertone. Warm, understandable, but... quite boring. The base doesn't stand out, no special twist or originality 😕

At first, this fragrance reminded me of Baccarat Rouge 540, but in a lighter version. It's sweet, alcoholic, and has a good sillage. In the top notes, whiskey with caramel is clearly audible, and woody accents remain on the skin after full development. But on my skin, it didn't work for me, although in the sillage it smells quite pleasant and draws compliments. It lasts long on clothes, but on the skin, knowing Mancera fragrances, I can say it's not too long-lasting

They said this perfume resembles Baccarat. Well, honestly, only if it's worn by a guy who smells of sweat and hard work all day, not sweet berries and candies. It smells more like bandages and iodine than anything pleasant. From that point of view, yes, you could say they're similar. But, damn, the fragrance is somehow awkward, not beautiful at all. To each their own, of course 🤷‍♀️

This fragrance really makes you want to try it! It definitely grabs attention. If everything written is true, then we're in for a real treat with warm, caramel, and alcoholic notes!!!

The pyramid is impressive, of course! But this caramel with whiskey - it's just awful, reminds me of some cheap liqueur. I don't know why anyone would even try it if it shows up here, but I doubt I'll bother 🤨
