Description of the composition

The scent of Iris Silver Mist is shaped as a continuous scent journey, where accents shift without rush and without gaps. The signature of Serge Lutens comes through in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail.

In a unified mixed pyramid the fragrance opens as a single chord with a noble cedar mood: Ambergris, Benzoin, Cedar, Clove, Frankincense, Galbanum and Iris.

The inner phases are perceived as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which gives the structure continuity.

The internal accord map rests on these accords: Balsamic, Gourmet, Musc and Wood without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Powdery, Amber and Spicy enrich the profile without taking over. The profile is unisex, which clarifies the composition character. In wear duration Low indicates a stable lasting impression.

At the note-group layer the structure relies on Ambery, Balsamic, Wood and Spicy. The framework further includes Green, Floral, Musk and Whiteflower.

Iris is beautiful, of course, but it shouldn't be overestimated. At first, it's cold and sharp, as if someone decided to push you away. And then, when it gets to the base, it becomes a little softer, but that doesn't save the situation. So, a status fragrance? Doubtful

The scent turned out quite feminine, but at the same time with a touch of strictness. The iris here is really bright, and spices and resins add an interesting cold shade. It sounds a bit harsh, but there's beauty in that!
