Fragrance information:

Des Lys Goutal Paris, unveiled in 2003, is marketed as a feminine fragrance, rooted in the green and floral families. This fragrance is the result of a creative collaboration between Isabelle Doyen and Camille Goutal. Released in eau de toilette.

Expect a delicate sillage: a quiet, intimate presence. A subtle fragrance: the longevity is low, which suits its gentle character. Produced in France, where perfumery has long been elevated to an art form. Des Lys Goutal Paris — the choice of those who appreciate depth and character in every detail.

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Des Lys evolves as an expressive line of development, where accents shift smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of Goutal Paris is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Eau de toilette supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

From the group perspective the profile is anchored in Green, Fruit, Whiteflower and Floral. The palette also extends to Earthy / Mossy. At family level the fragrance belongs to Floral and Green.

Without strict stage separation the notes arrive together with a refreshing grassy mood: Black currant leaf, Blackcurrant, Ivy and Lily.

The middle and base stages are read as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which gives the structure continuity.

The accord profile is built around these accords: Floral and Fruit without random overlap. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. In wear duration Low points to a sustained drydown presence.

In summary Des Lys reads as a cohesive composition — the first stage creates momentum, the middle layer carries the identity, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best understood in wear.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

A green-floral fragrance. Although it's a bit soapy, overall it's quite pleasant. Elegant and feminine, it perfectly complements a white shirt and a neat hairstyle. It truly shines on a summer morning

The fragrance is white floral, but it's somehow too strict and even oppressive. Nothing superfluous, but also nothing interesting. The lily is bitter, the jasmine feels like plastic, and the musk is just overwhelming. It might be okay for the office, but I definitely don't recommend it for studying 😒
