Ninfeo Mio: A Fragrance Journey

Imagine a sunny Italian garden where citrus trees intertwine with juicy figs — this is the scene painted by Ninfeo Mio from the legendary house Goutal Paris.

Released in 2010, this unisex fragrance is part of the L'Invitation au Voyage collection, inviting you on a sensory journey through imaginary nymphaeums.

The name "Ninfeo Mio," meaning "my nymphaeum" in Italian, evokes ancient gardens filled with life and beauty, perfectly reflecting the fresh and inspiring character of the composition created for those who appreciate natural elegance.

Fragrance Development and Character

From the very first spritz, Ninfeo Mio envelops you with a burst of citrus notes that gradually transition into a juicy fruit heart.

The fragrance unfolds dynamically: the initial brightness of citrus gives way to a delicate fruit sweetness, while light woody undertones in the base add depth and longevity.

It is the perfect companion for warm days when you want to feel freshness and joy, and it belongs to the citrus and fruit families, making it versatile for any mood.

Who and When to Wear Ninfeo Mio

As a unisex fragrance, Ninfeo Mio suits anyone who values lightness and naturalness, whether it's girls dreaming of a summer breeze or women seeking a refreshing accent.

Its eau de toilette concentration provides a moderate sillage, making it ideal for daytime wear, the office, or walks in hot weather.

It is not aggressive but rather complimentary, attracting attention with its natural beauty, and pairs excellently with summer outfits.

Description of the composition

The fragrance pyramid of Ninfeo Mio is a harmonious blend of fresh citrus, juicy fruits, and delicate woody chords.

The top notes instantly burst with the brightness of Citron (cedrat) and Lemon, creating a refreshing opening.

The heart of the composition unfolds through Fig and Galbanum, adding juicy fruity sweetness and green nuances that recall damp foliage.

In the base, Bitter Orange (bigaradia) and Lemon Tree are felt, imparting warmth, a light bitterness, and woody stability, completing the composition.

These notes, including Woody Chord, make the fragrance multifaceted and long-lasting on the skin, perfectly balancing between freshness and depth.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Fig is not my thing. I've never tried it fresh, but dried figs leave a strange aftertaste, as if with salt. Nympheo Mio smells to me exactly like this dried fig and some crushed grass. And yes, I agree with Tatyana, there's something dusty and unpleasant in the fragrance. So, this perfume and I didn't get along

I chose this fragrance based on reviews, thinking it would be aquatic. But unfortunately, the fig, which I love so much, ruined everything here. The citrus notes became too sweet, and in the end, there was a cloying sensation, even some bitterness, as if artemisia had interfered. Didn't work for me at all )

The scent smells quite strange. Why add sweet vanilla notes when you could have kept the freshness of citrus-green? Without that sweetness, it would have smelled much better. In the end, it turned into some kind of mess of fresh green and sweet gourmand smells. It really didn't work for me 😕

This fragrance, cold and masculine, fills the space with bright spices and herbs. It reminds me of an expensive cologne, but in my opinion, it only works on men. Too sharp and fresh to suit women

A citrusy scent with notes of sweet fig and herbs. I really liked it, and I think fig lovers will enjoy it too. The scent is fresh, light, and summery, just super

Fresh and rich scent. Fig leaves clearly stand out, but I don't detect any tomato leaf

I was looking for something with a herbaceous scent, hoping to find an analogue of Trufa by CK, but this perfume turned out to be completely different. At first, it smells very bright, like tomato leaves all around, and then quickly disappears. Sometimes it returns, but not for long. There's no longevity, no sillage either, it's more suitable for summer, such a countryside and cozy, in its own way - pretty 🌿

The scent is simply incredible! It's a combination of fresh green leaves and bright citrus notes. It feels like you're stepping into a sunny garden where everything is blooming and joyful. A real boost of energy and inspiration! 🌿✨

Beautiful fig scent! The fig leaf note stands out especially, as if you're crushing it in your hands. For me, the fig unfolds more in the base notes rather than the top notes, which, by the way, I'm happy about. This perfume is perfect for those who love herbal and green accents. But, unfortunately, I don't smell the fig stem/greens in it, although many are delighted by it 🌿

This fragrance didn't play out on me as I'd hoped - sometimes it's acidic, sometimes sharp, then suddenly some cologne note pops up. Sometimes I catch the smell of tomato leaves and even stale water. But if you don't inhale too deeply, overall it's quite positive, green-citrusy, perfect for summer 🍋 On my husband, however, it unfolded much better, becoming softer and more elegant. true wonders! ✨
