Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Cedre Sambac is shaped as an expressive line of development, where notes flow smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Hermès is evident in details that define the fragrance identity. No excess details, only what works, and the structure feels complete all the way through. Eau de toilette supports the depth and body this composition needs.

When the pyramid is blended into one block the opening appears as one connected movement with a soft-dry woody mood: Cedar and Jasmine Sambac. In this format 2 notes sound as one voice, building a sense of noble depth that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The middle and base stages are perceived as a smooth transition from opening to trail, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Floral, Fruit and Wood with each one in a clear role. The profile is unisex, which makes the scent profile easier to read.

The scent is kind of flat, nothing interesting about it, just ordinary and unexpressive. There's freshness, sure, but it's not pleasant, rather irritating. The longevity leaves much to be desired, just three hours, and then it's gone as if it was never there 😒
