Description of the composition

The olfactory structure of Prétexte is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where notes flow without rush and without gaps. The style of Lanvin is evident in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. Every decision feels deliberate, and the fragrance holds its character from opening to trail. Perfume extract emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

As soon as the fragrance opens you meet glowing neon top notes: Aldehydes, Bergamot and Narcissus. These 3 notes shape futuristic atmosphere that is impossible to miss.

At the core of development you detect Clove, Hawthorn, Hay, Iris, Opopanax and Rose holding a velvety rose-iris direction.

The accord architecture is built around these accords: Animalistic, Balsamic, Aromatic and Citrus without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Gourmet, Floral, Wood and Powdery expand the olfactory volume in the background.

From the group perspective the structure relies on Fairy, Citrus, Whiteflower and Floral. The palette also extends to Wood, Sweet, Balsamic and Animals.

Overall Prétexte holds a coherent structure — the first stage creates momentum, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the fragrances best judged on skin.
