If we're talking about a kaftan, it should be fresh, steamed, perfectly suitable for social events. Fabrics should be natural and high-quality so you don't freeze in the cold. Undoubtedly, it has an oriental style, but with a European accent. There's a slight hint of citrus spices, although frankincense isn't as noticeable. I got acquainted with it, and that's enough for me. I think it would unfold even better on male skin 🔥

This fragrance with notes of sweet benzoin and church incense is simply stunning! 🌟 Created by Calice Becker, whose roots trace back to a Tatar princely family, it evokes associations with Easter for me: the first April sun, kulich cakes under pristine white icing, as well as wooden floors and furniture polished with turpentine and wax, and the calm smoke from burning incense. I would never have thought that a perfume from Yves Saint Laurent could sound so natural and yet so beautiful 😍 And I didn't even believe I would wear it, although a 125 ml bottle will last me for many years. Why "Kaftan" specifically? This fragrance is dedicated to the traditional oriental costume, which was reinterpreted by the great designer for European women. By the way, such kaftans can be seen in the Yves Saint Laurent museum in Marrakech 🕌

Kaftan is a word many of us heard in childhood, listening to fairy tales or visiting museums. But a kaftan by Yves Saint Laurent is something entirely different. The designer drew inspiration from the traditional Moroccan kaftan, which is not surprising, as Morocco is a country Saint Laurent adored and spent a lot of time in. His work is imbued with an oriental spirit, and that is why the kaftan appeared on the runway in a new interpretation.

The fragrance Caftan, created by perfumer Calice Becker, evokes special feelings in me. Perhaps this is due to her Russian roots or childhood memories, but this scent truly touches the heart. Of all the fragrances I've tried, only Caftan evokes associations with Russian culture for me (not counting Enchanted Forest The Vagabond Prince and Ambre Russe Parfum d’Empire). It smells of sweet frankincense, wood, and a sunny April day.

Becker created a composition based on benzoin and vanilla, adding frankincense, pink pepper, and labdanum. All these notes combine beautifully, creating a bright, sweet, and balsamic, yet light and airy accord. Caftan reminds me of Easter Sunday: of floors polished with turpentine and fragrant smoke, but most of all - of the vanilla frosting on a kulich. It's a sincere and joyful fragrance that touches something deep inside. Perhaps it's not the most versatile of all, but it's pure delight - both from the scent itself, its execution, and the mood it creates ))

This fragrance from Calice Becker gives me strange feelings. Sweet and smoky, it seems made for winter holidays in Russia, but at the same time leaves a sense of mystery. Benzoin and frankincense intertwine so much that you don't know whether to be happy about it or not. The church associations here are really strong, and they make you forget about fashion and other things. On such dark winter days, it seems bright and even a little sublime. But here's what bothers me - I can't figure out if it actually suits me )
