Recently, I had the chance to smell «Aura» at a meeting with a MUGLER brand manager at the Clarins Moscow office. It starts with a herbaceous-green accord, and, honestly, at first, it's a bit disappointing. The first thought: «Is that all?» But only a few seconds pass, and everything changes. An image comes to mind, as if you're watching a movie where the camera slowly approaches huge tropical leaves. They move aside, and you plunge into thickets where life is bustling! That's the picture I got, although at first acquaintance, my associations were with something more dynamic, like a sports car. It starts softly, but then accelerates so much that «FASTEN YOUR SEATBELTS» Aura is a predatory floral green. Yes, it's more commercial compared to Angel and Alien, which evoke conflicting feelings. Aura seems friendlier and will probably appeal to more people. I hope for great commercial success for MUGLER, because if the metro starts smelling of «Aura» instead of «La Vie Est Belle» or «little black dresses,» I'll only be happy. I admit I'm a bit of a snob, but many brands are light-years behind «Aura.» And here's another strange comparison: MUGLER's Aura is like Lars von Trier's «Melancholia.» Yes, his most accessible film, without explicit cruelty, but incredibly beautiful. And you want to rewatch it, not «Antichrist» or «Dogville» 😔

This bottle simply draws the eye, marketers clearly didn't work in vain. The design is impressive, but the aura itself, like all Mugler's, is strange and memorable. The longevity is generally good, and the sillage is also decent. The scent of rhubarb with vanilla and woody notes is sweet and sour, but there's something to it. Overall, not bad, but there's a feeling that something is missing. As if something has left, and it leaves a sadness

On the website, there's complete confusion with the fragrance pyramid again. Its three facets: the first is tiger liana, the second is rhubarb leaf and orange blossom, and the third is Bourbon vanilla and wolfwood molecule 😒

I poured out half of a small bottle and, without hesitation, bought 90 ml. My impressions are: the greenness here is rather conditional, more chromatic than olfactory. You wouldn't call it fresh; it's a tart, tropical green. The fragrance is moist and bright, with good longevity. You won't get a light, watercolor application with it. It announces itself loudly, but does so with an artistic approach))) The base clearly resembles Alien's DNA. Eden by Cacharel immediately comes to mind. I have an old version of Eden, and when I tried them side by side, I agonized over what united them so much. I realized that yes, the fragrances have a similar mood. They are different, but both push boundaries. Both are green floral, white flowers, tropical mood (not a beach, but wild jungle). But there's something witchy about them. The greenness here is amplified by datura, the flowers are white, but as if grown by magic, which makes them look wonderfully grotesque. I bought it at duty-free in Dubai, there's so much there!!! After long testing, I imagined myself as a huge cloud of fragrance without a specific name, a total unidentifiable mix. Aura sounded clear and recognizable. In the cold, there's less green, more flowers, and Alien can be heard somewhere in the distance. A complex fragrance. At the first friendly meeting, it's a surprise box

Several months have passed since its release, and I can say that this fragrance truly left an impression. It's pleasant to wear, it brings comfort, and its notes have so many contrasts that it's more like a game than chaos. The texture is amazing - like something between a gel and a jelly, smooth and viscous, but not too heavy. The main thing is that this fragrance makes you want to discuss and debate it, as if it carries you away into a world of memories that can no longer be retrieved 😔

The fragrance is simply cosmic, as if it came to us from a distant galaxy, even more remote than its purple predecessor. It's not just a few layers, but a whole multidimensional universe where you get lost in your sensations. As soon as you plunge into warm camphor, you're immediately covered by a cold minty rain. This combination of green tartness suddenly gives way to sweetish, slightly decaying petals. Feelings and thoughts are in chaos, but then comes admiration for the light aura of bitter hay and damp wood. The fragrance is complex, like all creations of the brilliant and mysterious Thierry Mugler. That's why it's so alluring and captivating ✨

And this is really *that* Aura by Mugler?! The feeling of being cheated just won't leave me, I haven't felt such disappointment even as a child. It feels like they poured me something completely different, as if from another barrel. All the concentrate stayed at the bottom. No swamps, rotten wood, or slime are felt. No snake ointment, cough syrup, or menthol lozenges added either. Vanilla buns with a pharmacy aftertaste - that's totally off. What did I get?! Well, I got a rather interesting, sunny, and bittersweet scent of mown grass and white flowers at the beginning, which then acquires a slight sourness and sweetly powders down at the end. And, of course, there's that signature Mugler note that makes the fragrance special. I'll wear it in spring and summer. The emerald gem in my Mugler collection just makes me happy. P.S. On my son, only the fresh smell of mown grass opened up, and that's it. No changes 😔

After a long search and experiments, it's finally time for a new freshness. Green freshness is what's currently at its peak of popularity, and MUGLER demonstrates this perfectly. The bottle is simply mesmerizing, it's in the spirit of the brand: something between futurism and cyberpunk, as if we're on the verge of something incredible. The heart, glowing in the dark like an android's, raises many questions. I wonder what's inside? Soon everything will become clear!

I can't make up my mind about this scent. On one hand, it's appealing, but on the other, something's unsettling. The girl from the ad seems to perfectly match this smell! How warmly I feel about Mugler perfumes, especially what marketers have called pour femme! I love putting on my Angel armor and going to work with a great mood. But with Aura, things didn't click for a long time. In the store, the tests didn't impress me much, and I wasn't rushing to the checkout with a bottle. In the end, I decided to order a decant to get to know the fragrance better in a calm environment. Will it remain a legend - time will tell, but it's already clear that it's not at all what it seems, and perhaps that's what makes it brilliant? In the comments, people write all sorts of things - about swamp grass, about medicine, and even about mosquito repellent. Fortunately, the advertising campaign passed me by, so for me, Aura is not a humid jungle, but a bright sweet-sour green apple (rhubarb playing tricks?) and tutti-frutti chewing gum, wrapped in fleshy greenery (that very tiger liana?) And all this on the familiar Mugler base. For my nose, it's a quite wearable green scent, but sometimes a little impishness runs through it. Or is it just imagination? :) In general, I'm sure that disputes around Aura will continue for a long time. Personally, I eagerly await what this green potion will give me next time. And, of course, separate respect to the brand for the stunning bottle!

After reading the reviews, I realized I was lucky, because in Aura, I don't smell any medicine or insect repellent. But I don't feel the jungle from the advertisement either. Although I don't like when fragrances are described with long associations, this time I want to share mine. I got this picture: imagine Margarita applying magical cream, flying over a night forest, and landing on a green, damp meadow by a river where water lilies bloom and mermaids play. I was amazed at how they managed to create such a moist, even slightly raw scent. It's simply a miracle! The fragrance is truly beautiful and wearable. Its longevity is medium for me 🌟

The bottle of this fragrance looks like something magical, but alas, upon testing, it turned out to be a real disappointment. On one hand, the sweet and sour scent seems pleasant, but there's something in it that repels and causes discomfort 😔
