Description of the composition

The scent of Mawaddah is shaped as a cohesive olfactory arc, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The signature of Amouage is recognizable in the way notes appear and fade. Nothing here feels random, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Oil-based perfume supports the depth and body this composition needs.

In a unified mixed pyramid the fragrance opens as a single chord with a resinous-sweet mood: Ambergris, Lavender, Rose, Spices, Teak wood and Vanilla. In this case 6 notes act as one voice, building soft resinous sensuality that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The deeper layers are read as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which gives the structure continuity.

The accord architecture rests on these accords: Aromatic, Floral, Wood and Amber with each one in a clear role. Secondary accord layers such as Spicy add depth to the backdrop.

At olfactory-group level the structure relies on Ambery, Green, Floral and Spicy. It also reaches into Wood, Gourmet and Whiteflower.

Taken together Mawaddah sounds complete from start to finish — the opening sets direction, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best experienced on skin.
