Shalimar: the history of the first amber fragrance
There are fragrances that smell like perfume. And then there are those that smell like a legend. Sha...
2016: the world took its first breath of Myths Man Amouage. By character, a masculine fragrance drawing from the east family. Inspiration and execution — all of it is Christopher Chong. Created within the Myths collection and available in eau de parfum.
It carries a moderate sillage, leaving a trail that lingers pleasantly in the air. One application and it's not going anywhere — longevity is very high. Brand country — Oman, with its deep-rooted relationship with the fragrance industry. Myths Man Amouage — the choice of those who appreciate depth and character in every detail.
The fragrance is very long-lasting, staying on the skin for 12 hours or more, gradually revealing its notes
It can be felt in close proximity, but does not attract the attention of those around you
The perfume has a rich aroma that will help you stand out from the crowd and create a memorable image
A rich and elegant fragrance that gently unfolds on the skin and lasts most of the day, leaving a delicate trail
Perfumes for the fall and winter seasons often contain notes of vanilla, spices, ambergris, wood, and other warm accords, creating a feeling of comfort and warmth during the cold months
The composition of Myths Man is built as a living composition, where notes flow with precision and warmth. The creative approach of Amouage is clear from the opening to the final trail. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum emphasizes the depth and body this composition needs.
At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Floral, Balsamic, Drinks and Wood. The palette also extends to Mineral, Leather and Gourmet. At family level the scent maps to East.
From the first breath you catch fresh floral first notes: Chrysanthemum and Iris.
When the opening settles you notice Elemi, Rose, Rum and Vetiver keeping a deep balsamic direction.
The internal accord map is driven by these accords: Balsamic, Floral, Wood and Powdery without random overlap. Secondary accord layers such as Leather, Spicy, Alcoholic and Mineral add depth to the backdrop. The stylistic positioning is masculine, which clarifies the composition character. In longevity terms Very high indicates a stable lasting impression.
In summary Myths Man holds a coherent structure — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, and the final phase leaves a stable imprint. These are the scent structures best experienced on skin.

Three hours after application, everything changes. Now it's primarily leather-the characteristic rubbery texture of Amouage, slightly smoky and dry. I barely detect the rose; it's just a faint trail in the scent. Chrysanthemums, as if covered in ash, disappear beneath the vetiver roots. Smoke and smoked leather remain on the surface. Here I find a slight resemblance to the base of Interlude, but otherwise, these are completely different fragrances. If Interlude Man is bright and impetuous, then Myths is a melancholic autumn nocturne. This is where its strength lies. The last time I felt something similar was the fragrance Voleur de Roses.
By the fifth hour, Myths begins to stratify. The uncompromising leather is still audible, but the sillage becomes surprisingly light and almost transparent. I clearly distinguish sweetish musk and the violet notes of violets. It's so beautiful and unusual that you want to inhale this effect again and again. And, by the way, the bottle color perfectly matches the content. By the eighth hour
