Identity and History of Goutal Paris Le Mimosa

Welcome to the world of Goutal Paris Le Mimosa, a fragrance launched in 2011, which embodies the elegance and poetry of French niche perfumery.

This feminine perfume, belonging to the Floral and Fruity families, combines notes from the Floral, Fruity, Green, and Woody groups, reflecting the DNA of the brand founded by Annick Goutal in 1981, where each composition is a story told through scents.

Le Mimosa is inspired by the sunny mimosa and the spring moods of the South of France, offering a sensual journey into the world of natural beauty and emotions, perfect for those seeking elegance in everyday life.

Positioning and Wearability

Presented in the concentration of Eau de Toilette, Le Mimosa is ideal for daily wear, especially during the spring and summer months when its light character fully unfolds.

As a Women's fragrance, it exudes tenderness and elegance, with a Subtly Perceptible sillage that leaves a subtle, intimate trail, perfect for close encounters, office settings, or romantic dates.

For an optimal impression, it is recommended to apply From 2 to 3 sprays on the skin so that the fragrance harmoniously blends with the body's natural notes, and From 3 to 4 sprays on clothing for a longer-lasting effect.

This dosage allows you to enjoy all facets of the composition without overload, making it a versatile choice for various scenarios, from a morning walk to an evening outing.

Creators and Influence

The creation of Le Mimosa was worked on by talented perfumers Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen.

Camille, the daughter of the founder, brings family tradition and sensitivity, while Isabelle, an experienced nose, adds technical mastery and innovation.

Their collaboration created a fragrance that balances between classic and contemporary, enhancing the brand's reputation as a pioneer in niche perfumery.

Le Mimosa strengthens Goutal Paris's position in creating emotional and natural compositions, contributing to the rich heritage of the house.

It reflects the brand's commitment to quality ingredients and deep stories, making it a favorite among connoisseurs who seek not just a scent, but an experience.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. How sad it is to remember what once was. This honeyed floral scent, it's like from another time. But, to be honest, it seems too simple, even for niche perfumery. No frills, everything on the surface, as if lacking depth. Alas, this is not what I would want to feel 🌼

the fragrance is indeed sweet and light, but mimosa is barely felt in it. I expected something more complex, but it seems quite simple and doesn't spark much interest

The scent is truly beautiful and delicate, with a light powdery nuance. Mimosas are present in it, but not fresh ones, rather dried, although they still retain their fragrance

It's mimosa, so delicate, and peach skin. The fragrance is like spring, light and transparent. Almost all Goutal fragrances for me are like trails, as if you only feel light wafts of air with remnants of scent. How sad it is when a fragrance fades, leaving only a shadow of memories!!

Charlotte seems softer and more delicate to me than "Mimosa" This fragrance has more of a peachy powdery nuance and anise, while mimosa only creates a light powdery sensation upon inhalation 🌸

This fragrance bothers me a bit. The powderiness, to be honest, didn't work for me. I prefer when powder is combined with rose or violets, not mimosa. Although, if you think about it, it's more rice than powder here, but it still has a cosmetic feel, and that doesn't make me happy. Maybe it's just not my thing, and I'm trying to find words to explain it, but I can't

If someone is looking for a real spring mimosa, they should turn to Mr. Artisan. But in this Le Mimosa, there's some kind of sweetish mimosa that didn't move me at all. It feels like something important slipped away, and that disappointment remains

What a crappy scent, to be honest. Light, yes, but definitely an acquired taste. It has a certain watery quality that prevents you from enjoying its full potential. For me, it's more of a fruity-herbal smell than something floral. There are hardly any flowers here; I don't smell mimosa at all. But a sweetish puree of peaches and apples is very noticeable, as if it was just made. In short, if you're looking for something bright and intense, this isn't it
