Composition Structure: A Rich Palette of Notes

The composition of Tom Ford Black Orchid Oud is a complex mix of notes, including a citrus chord for a fresh start, jasmine and orchid in the heart, as well as deep base notes such as oud, patchouli, sandalwood, dark chocolate, truffle, vanilla, musk, incense and ylang-ylang.

This rich bouquet unfolds gradually, starting with bright citrus notes, transitioning to a floral heart, and settling into a warm, woody-oriental base with chocolate and vanilla accents, creating a long-lasting and exciting impression.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

I haven't seen this version before, it never popped up anywhere. That's a real shame, I'd also be curious to know what this fragrance is actually like 😊

I'm not familiar with this version. Never seen it before. Would be awesome to try it! I'm curious how this famous CO would smell with added oud

This scent didn't impress me at all, it feels too alien and cold. The patchouli here smells spiky, and the oud reminds me of a sterile hospital atmosphere with bandages and other unpleasant associations 😕

Are you serious? 😅 No such fragrance exists, and never has. Rumors, of course, circulated, but that was a long time ago, and no proof ever appeared. You won't find it on the official website. On eBay, I saw something strange with a similar name, but from the bottle's photo, it's clearly a fake

What a freaking awful scent this is! I bought a whole bottle at the store, and now I regret it. The sillage is definitely there, but it's just unbearable. For me, it primarily smells like something cloyingly sweet, as if orchids, chocolate, and truffles were all mixed together in one pile. And on my skin, it develops in a way that just makes me want to run away. Inhale it endlessly? No way! Total disappointment, not a favorite scent at all

This scent brings back such warm memories for me. It's like it fades into the past, leaving only a faint trace behind. I want to smell it every second, but alas, it's impossible. It smells so rich and sweet, it feels like time stands still. It's amazing how it can be both precious and sad at the same time. I can't help but remember how it filled the space around, creating an atmosphere that can't be brought back )
