The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

What a mysterious and atmospheric fragrance! It's like it transports you to a gothic world: there are fading lilies, hints of incense, and even a slight taste of absinthe. I imagine an old castle where an aristocrat is engrossed in writing his gothic novel, full of mysteries and ghosts. And all around - an old cemetery where the scent of frankincense lingers in the air, and white lilies quietly smolder. A true feast for the senses!

A second Tom Ford fragrance in this top ten? Yes, that's how it turned out. It's completely unlike Shanghai Lily. In this world where everything is perfect, lilies exude exactly this scent. You can imagine gods exchanging frankincense and myrrh for lilies that slowly turn into smoke and ash. Lys Fume is a cool woody-floral fragrance with a perfect balance. It has something animalic, spicy, and a little detached, like lily of the valley. All of this is done so delicately that I would happily wear it every day. First and foremost, it's lily, and only then do the woody and smoky notes appear. Because of its ethereal mineral coolness, you can't call it oriental. This is a truly interesting interpretation of lily smoke. Definitely worth a try

The scent is simply awful. On me, it's overpowering, as if someone poured a bucket of flowers and alcohol on me. There's this spicy bitterness, and it makes me uncomfortable. Overall, it's very heavy and suffocating, just unbearable

It starts with powdery sweet flowers, but soon they are replaced by woody notes and sharp rum. The fragrance takes on a masculine, spicy character. It lasts a long time on the skin 😔

The scent is quite rich. The lily stands out very strongly and sharply here, and the spicy notes with ylang only enhance this impression. In the end, it becomes a bit intrusive. But the longevity is simply excellent, and the sillage impresses with its power!

The fragrance is really strange. Lilies clearly dominate here, woody notes and spices are also noticeable. Wormwood adds an interesting accent. When it comes to the base, balsamic nuances are felt. It was interesting to try, but I don't feel like wearing it 😅

Lilies combined with spices and citruses create a rather cold impression. At first, the scent seems fresh and even sharp, but then an alcoholic note appears, adding strangeness. It's intriguing, but hard to imagine wearing it 🤔

This fragrance from the collection disappointed me the most. The alcoholic notes are somewhat bearable, but the lily simply destroys all its charm. I don't get along with this note at all, and here it's just too intrusive 😒

Lily with woody notes, a sharp smoke is felt, especially when it's humid outside. At the beginning, you feel pink pepper, and in the heart - nutmeg, lily, and ylang. In the base, there are alcoholic accents and dry vanilla, but overall it's just terrible. I can't understand how anyone could like this

Of all the new releases I've tried, the smoky lily stands out as the most interesting and mysterious. There's a slight hint of Tobacco Vanille in the scent, perhaps it's dried fruits and a touch of smoke. The ylang-ylang here is simply gorgeous, but it doesn't steal the show - the main star, of course, is the lily. This lily is simply magical! I'm sure it will become my favorite this autumn
