This fragrance reflects H&M's brand philosophy, combining affordability with elegance, and is an example of how the Swedish fast-fashion retailer creates complete perfume stories.

Often associated with simple scents, H&M surprises with the depth of its range, and Petals is an inspiring step into the world of floral harmony, offering universal appeal for the modern consumer.

Description of the composition

Composition of the Fragrance

The H&M Petals composition is built on floral notes, creating a harmonious and delicate bouquet that belongs to the floral family.

Since the note pyramid is presented with mixed chords, the fragrance offers a holistic floral impression without a clear separation into top, middle, and base layers—this makes it easy to perceive and ideal for those seeking effortless elegance.

The floral notes here may include classic shades such as jasmine or rose, but the overall palette remains balanced and airy, emphasizing freshness and romance.

This approach allows the fragrance to unfold smoothly on the skin, providing a lasting yet soft presence throughout the day.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

The scent reminds me of floral powder. Personally, for me, it's very light and subtle, more like the scent of fresh laundry after washing

I can't quite figure out what this smells like. If there are flowers, they're kind of blurry, like painted with watercolors, but with a distinct soapy undertone. Honestly, it's quite boring

Who wouldn't be delighted to receive a fresh bouquet of flowers right at their door? Now imagine those feelings could be captured in a scent! Petals, blossoms, and the lightness of air in every breath

This fragrance seems too light, even too powdery, as if someone decided to mask something unpleasant. The nuances of peach and bush roses don't save the situation, only adding a certain cloying sweetness. In the end, it doesn't evoke any delight, just another banality 😒

Floral notes are something very subjective. Jasmine is first for me, and then a delicate rose is felt. Maybe there's even a slight hint of peonies. The fragrance is really pleasant, and in the end, I bought it after much deliberation at the stand! 🌸
