Identity and Release History

H&M Berries is a fresh and playful unisex fragrance released in 2018 under the H&M brand.

Often, when talking about H&M perfumes, many imagine simple, affordable scents in the cosmetics section.

However, the perfume history of this Swedish fast-fashion giant is a fascinating example of how a fashion retailer managed to create full-fledged perfume compositions.

H&M Berries is part of the The Singles collection, which offers stylish and affordable fragrances for everyday use.

This perfume is presented in the Eau de Toilette concentration, making it light and gentle, perfect for those who prefer fresh notes.

Pyramid and Development

The H&M Berries fragrance is built around bright and juicy fruit notes, with an emphasis on Wild Berries.

The composition belongs to the Fougère and Fruity families, combining the freshness of greenery and the sweetness of berries.

When applied, the fragrance develops gradually, creating a playful and attractive impression that stays with you throughout the day.

Positioning and Wearability

H&M Berries is a Unisex fragrance, suitable for both men and women.

Its Middle sillage means that it is not too intense, but balanced enough for the office, meetings with friends, or everyday wear.

The Eau de Toilette concentration provides a light and fresh feeling that doesn't overload the sense of smell.

If you like H&M Berries, you might also appreciate similar fragrances, such as Victoria's Secret Pink Sweet & Flirty, Bath and Body Works Into the Night or Bershka A Perfect Essence May Not Exist, But You Make It Perfect., which also offer sweet and fruity notes.

Authors and Influence

The creation of H&M Berries involved the talented perfumers Nisrin Grillet and Olivier Pescheux, whose experience in creating affordable and high-quality scents helped bring this project to life.

Their involvement highlights H&M's commitment to creating a full-fledged perfume line that reflects fashion trends and the brand's accessibility.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The smell reminds me of kissel or compote made at home. The scent, though simple, still evokes pleasant feelings, so natural. But the longevity leaves much to be desired

The scent disappointed. It seems flat and cheap, like synthetic plastic. If these are wild berries, then only in the form of a child's lip gloss. Overall, completely unimpressed, too cloying )

A strange scent, to be honest. Blackberry, raspberry, and currant - sounds nice, but in reality, it's clearly something synthetic. Reminds me of those toy bottles from Yves Rocher, I can't shake that feeling. I think it was a "blackberry" scent, but I'm not entirely sure 🤔

Honestly, I liked this perfume. Yes, it really does resemble packaged berry fruit drink. But in the cold, it unfolds so pleasantly, leaving a trail as if gently touching the skin. There's something sweet and subtle about it, but there's still a feeling of some sadness

The wild berry scent turned out quite bright, but with a slight chemical undertone, reminiscent of fruit drinks. Overall, not too bad. The bottles look like they're aimed at young people, and the price of 6 euros is quite acceptable for most 🍓
