Description of the composition

The composition of Vanilla Malagasy is built as a layered story, where layers reveal themselves smoothly and sequentially. The creative approach of H&M is clear in the pacing of the notes and the overall aesthetic. No excess details, only what works, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de parfum supports a balanced rhythm of unfolding.

At the note-group layer the profile is anchored in Fruit, Whiteflower, Sweet and Balsamic. The palette also extends to Gourmet and Floral. From a family perspective the scent maps to Floral, Fruit and Sweet.

At the opening of the pyramid you meet juicy fruity first notes: Peach and Plum.

In the middle phase you sense Jasmine and Praline keeping a sensual jasmine direction. In the final layer the line is anchored through Benzoin and Vanilla, shaping a viscous balsamic trail.

The accord architecture is shaped by these accords: Gourmet, Floral, Fruit and Spicy with each one in a clear role. The stylistic positioning is feminine, which clarifies the composition character.

Taken together Vanilla Malagasy sounds complete from start to finish — the start forms character, the heart develops the core line, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the fragrances best experienced through real development.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Very conspicuous

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

Chocolate marmalades - it's just cloyingly sweet, the scent is sweet, but not enjoyable. Berries, but not the kind you want, rather blackcurrant, like in some cheap candies. It seems pleasant, but you don't really want to smell it 😒

Peach vanilla. This is a fragrance that simply captivates. It's so cozy and sweet, but not vulgar. It just draws you in, making you want to inhale it again and again. Very alluring, I can't help but note that it truly delights

Scents with pronounced vanilla now only associate for me with Guerlain's Double Vanille. In H&M, everything starts with fruits, and in the base, you can feel vanilla and benzoin. A floral-candy heart breaks through between them. The sweetness just sweeps you off your feet

The fragrance is simply terribly sweet. Not to say it's simple, but you can clearly hear sweet resins and fatty prunes in it. However, the praline screams from the first seconds, which is just unbearable
