Identity and Release of H&M Arboretum

The H&M Arboretum fragrance, released in 2018, is a fresh and inspiring perfume from the Swedish giant H&M.

Often, when discussing H&M perfumery, many imagine simple, affordable scents in the cosmetics section.

However, the perfume history of this retailer is a fascinating example of how a fashion brand was able to create full-fledged aromatic compositions.

H&M Arboretum is part of the The Reveries collection, which offers dreamy and ethereal fragrances for everyday wear, highlighting the brand's pursuit of diversity and quality in the world of perfumery.

Positioning and Wearability of the Fragrance

This perfume is classified as female and is released in the concentration of eau de toilette, making it light and ideal for daytime use or warm seasons.

The scent trail is rated as medium, providing a noticeable but unobtrusive presence that lasts several hours without being overwhelming.

H&M Arboretum belongs to the fougère and aquatic families, combining the freshness of aquatic notes with the elegance of the fougère structure to create a versatile image.

For those looking for similar fragrances, we recommend paying attention to Dolce & Gabbana Dolce, Valentino Valentino Donna Acqua, and Benetton United Dreams Love Yourself, which also offer feminine and refreshing compositions.

Authors and Influence on the Perfume Industry

The creation of H&M Arboretum was handled by talented perfumers Nisrin Grillet and Olivier Pescheux, whose experience brought unique accents and a professional approach to the fragrance.

Their collaboration with H&M demonstrates how the brand strives for high quality and innovation in perfumery, expanding its horizons beyond fast fashion and attracting the attention of scent enthusiasts.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The bottles of this brand's new fragrances are simply stunning. They look so attractive and cute. In the fragrance line, there are both interesting and less successful options, but each has its own unique twist. I especially remember the scent with a pear note. It's not cloying, but rather green and crisp, very juicy, but without excessive sweetness. Bergamot adds to this green freshness, enhancing it. In the base, the scent becomes calmer and slightly sweet, but this only improves its overall impression

I can smell jasmine and bergamot, and sandalwood is also present. Luckily, the pear didn't come to the forefront, I always have issues with it. Overall, the scent is floral, pleasant, but with a tartness and clearly noticeable sandalwood. An interesting combination, I can't quite say if I like it or not )

Sweet flowers mixed with fruity freshness and a woody base create something. Overall, the scent isn't bad, but it doesn't evoke delight. It's similar to many others, lacking individuality and brightness, although it's quite pleasant overall

Pear with bergamot. I agree, the fragrance isn't very long-lasting, but for mass-market, it's quite a decent blend. I plan to use it in June, it's so unobtrusively refreshing and creates a summer mood

Such a cool pear here! It's ripe, juicy, and the stem smells like green wood. The scent is simply magical, this perfume lifts your spirits any time of day 🌟

Pear and bergamot really stand out here, but the roses somehow got lost. Sandalwood, by the way, perfectly finishes this whole blend )
