Perfume information

Description of the composition

The composition of Blue Hyacinth is shaped as an expressive line of development, where accents shift with precision and warmth. The signature of Jo Malone is evident in details that define the fragrance identity. Every decision feels deliberate, and the composition keeps a clear direction. Eau de Cologne emphasizes the right density and pace of development.

When the structure is mixed the notes arrive together with a inspiring floral mood: Geranium, Hyacinth and Vetiver. In this case 3 notes sound as one voice, creating the effect of a living bouquet that keeps the opening compact and balanced.

The deeper layers are felt as a gradual shift without abrupt breaks, which preserves the scent identity through drydown.

The olfactory framework is shaped by these accords: Floral and Wood forming a compact and readable structure. The stylistic positioning is unisex, which sharpens how the fragrance is perceived. For persistence Middle points to a sustained drydown presence.

At olfactory-group level the composition is built around Floral, Wood and Whiteflower.

In summary Blue Hyacinth reads as a cohesive composition — the opening sets direction, the middle layer carries the identity, while the drydown anchors the memory. These are the scent structures best understood on skin.

Persistence
The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Complexity and depth
The complexity of a fragrance is the number and variety of notes that create a unique composition. A complex fragrance contains many different notes that reveal themselves on the skin. The depth of a fragrance is the richness and intensity of the fragrance. Fragrances with a deep composition include heavy and powerful notes that stay on the skin longer and affect others over long distances.

The fragrance is fresh, floral, and a little damp. It reminds me of early spring, when nature just begins to wake up, and you hear the fluttering chirping of birds. You can feel the snow melting, creating a special atmosphere. But, unfortunately, the longevity of the fragrance leaves much to be desired

How great that such a line has appeared! It's clearly aimed at the British and some Asian markets, and that, in my opinion, is not bad at all. The hyacinth here is simply stunning! It's easy to recognize and analyze, unlike many other fragrances. It's not quite a living flower, rather, its watercolor image, as if it lies at the bottom of a lake. Don't expect full naturalness, but observing this scent is truly interesting. By the way, it disappears in about 40 minutes, but that doesn't stop you from enjoying it
