Jo Malone London is a legend in English perfumery, whose philosophy revolutionized modern scents, and Lavender & Coriander perfectly reflects this approach by combining natural ingredients with elegant simplicity.

Perfumer and Inspiration

Behind this unique bouquet stands the talented perfumer Anne Flipo, known for her ability to bring natural accords to life.

Description of the composition

Pyramid of Notes: Revealing the Fragrance

The composition Lavender & Coriander begins with a bright duo of top notes: spicy coriander and soothing lavender create a fresh and intriguing start that immediately captures attention.

At the heart of the fragrance, aromatic sage reigns, adding herbal depth and a subtle spiciness that smoothly transitions to the base.

In the final stage, earthy moss and sweetish tonka beans unfold, providing a warm and long-lasting finish that envelops the skin in comfort.

This harmony belongs to the aromatic, earthy / mossy, green, and spicy groups, uniting into fougère and spicy families to create a balanced and memorable bouquet.

The persistence of a fragrance is determined by how long it can be felt. It is a characteristic associated with ingredients that evaporate slowly. Persistence depends on the physical properties of the perfume ingredients—mainly their volatility and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity.

Sillage
Imagine a light cloud of fragrance that, like an aeroplane trail, remains in the air after your appearance. This is the sillage - a subtle or vivid imprint left by the most diffuse element of a perfume composition. The sillage can be almost invisible when it is felt only by you and those around you. Or it can be so expressive that its presence is noticed even long after you have left.

Lavender cologne with spicy notes. Probably the most ordinary one from the entire line. Nevertheless, it smells very natural and pleasant. Although I still chose other fragrances

First, a bright lavender scent is felt, and then spicy and fresh notes begin to emerge. This perfume is definitely not sweet and suits both men and women! Personally, it seemed quite simple to me, although it contains rare ingredients. But, perhaps, someone will really like it! I recommend lovers of non-sweet fragrances to try it for themselves!

Coriander is my true passion, so this year I decided to grow it. Now I enjoy its scent every day. But in Malone's perfume, I don't detect coriander. I only smell lavender and sage. For me, it's too simple and boring ))))

In this fragrance, lavender isn't overpowering, but rather gently spicy, with a light powdery nuance. Wormwood, it seems, is also hiding somewhere in the notes, though maybe it's just me. Lavender and bitter wormwood with a dusty aftertaste - not quite what I like, so the fragrance didn't make the right impression on me. Perhaps if mixed with something else, it will reveal itself in a new way!!

I was certainly hoping to find something interesting in this series of fragrances with bright bottles, but alas, it didn't work out. Each of them turned out to be just a pleasant scent for creating an atmosphere, but I don't feel anything on myself. The lavender here is really beautiful and cool, the sage is also fresh, and coriander might be present, but I don't detect it. Usually, this note causes me aversion, but in this case, it's more like something abstract, as if made of many different elements )
