Wild Bluebell by Jo Malone: the freshness of an English garden

Imagine a walk through a damp, post-rain English garden, where the air is filled with purity and light freshness.

It is this sensation that the fragrance Wild Bluebell by Jo Malone, released in 2011, embodies.

This cologne has become a symbol of refined simplicity, offering a delicate floral bouquet that perfectly reflects the brand's philosophy – creating light, layerable fragrances for the modern woman.

The legend of English perfumery, Jo Malone London, is not just a perfume brand, but a whole philosophy that has revolutionized the perception of modern perfumery.

Its history began in London in the early 1990s thanks to the talent and intuition of the founder, and Wild Bluebell continues this tradition, adding a note of natural elegance.

The fragrance belongs to the Floral and Green families, which emphasize its fresh and natural character.

Upon first spray, you will feel an immediate burst of greenery and flowers, as if immersed in a dewy morning.

The composition masterfully combines delicate chords, creating an image of a carefree walk through the forest, where every breath brings joy.

This perfume is excellent for spring and summer days, adding lightness and airiness to the image, and is often recommended for daytime use or informal gatherings.

For whom and how to wear Wild Bluebell

The female fragrance Wild Bluebell is designed for those who appreciate subtle, unobtrusive beauty.

Its barely perceptible sillage leaves behind a light, almost weightless trace that does not overwhelm others but attracts the attention of close ones.

For optimal effect, we recommend using 1 to 2 sprays on the skin and 1 to 2 sprays on clothing, which will allow the fragrance to develop gradually and naturally.

Thanks to its light concentration, it is ideal for the office, dates, or daily activities, giving a feeling of freshness throughout the day.

If you are looking for alternatives, pay attention to similar fragrances such as Byredo La Tulipe, which offers similar floral purity, or Kenzo L'Eau Par Kenzo with its aquatic notes, and Burberry The Beat, adding energetic accents.

Each of them conveys freshness in its own way, but Wild Bluebell stands out with its English refinement.

Creator and inspiration of the fragrance

Behind the creation of this masterpiece is the talented perfumer Christine Nagel, known for her work on many iconic compositions.

Her ability to combine natural notes with modern chords gave Wild Bluebell a unique character that resonates with lovers of light, yet memorable fragrances.

This release strengthened Jo Malone's reputation as a brand capable of capturing the essence of nature and translating it into perfumery art, attracting new fans worldwide.

Perfume information

Description of the composition

The note pyramid of Wild Bluebell is crafted with the mastery characteristic of the Jo Malone perfume house.

In the top notes, Bluebell dominates, creating an instant sensation of coolness and greenery, as if the first rays of sun touch a blooming meadow.

This chord quickly transitions into the heart of the composition, where Persimmon adds a soft fruity sweetness, balanced by delicate nuances of Rosehip and Lily of the Valley, belonging to the Floral and White Floral groups.

In the base, Musk (white musk) from the Musky group anchors the fragrance, giving it warmth and longevity without heaviness.

Such a combination of notes from categories like Fruity and others makes the development smooth and harmonious, leaving behind a gentle, enveloping trail that reminds one of natural purity.

This scent evokes only negative emotions for me. Summer? No, rather something depressing. Field flowers? They have nothing to do with this. Fresh greenery? I don't feel it. In short, I didn't like it, it's too light and plain. For everyday wear? No way ))

I adore perfumes by Christine Nagel. You can confidently choose, almost without thinking. Bluebell in nature, it seems, has no scent, or it's very insignificant. But here, it seems, it unfolds exactly like that. Very fresh, subtle, and with a bright sound

I read it all, but I got hung up on the phrase "sea lilac". I wonder what kind of strange scent that is? Can anyone explain what this marvel is

This fragrance simply disappointed me. At first, it seems fresh and light, but actually, it's kind of flat and unexpressive. No associations with spring come to mind; rather, it's just a dull memory of something pleasant. Longevity is a whole other story. Two hours - and that's it, goodbye fragrance. Even if I use it with other products, it won't save the situation. But, it seems someone is still ready to spend money on 100 ml of this disappointment. I don't understand why )

This fragrance is a real find for me. It's so versatile that when you don't know what to choose, you just spray it and don't worry. It brings back memories of my childhood, spring days, and the wildflowers I used to pick for my grandmother. It might sound simple, but I've been buying it for 5 or 7 years now. I'm sure everyone needs a calming scent like this that works with everything. It's especially great for the office-it won't distract anyone with its scent

On the blotter, the scent really impressed me; it's fresh and gentle, with floral and green notes, sounding very bright. But on the skin, there was a salty taste with a sour undertone, which is a bit disappointing 😕

The fragrance is simply amazing, fresh, with notes of watermelon and cucumber. Bright and very pleasant! Among Jo Malone colognes, this one stands out for its longevity. It sounds expensive and interesting, the trail is great, and it's not sweet. For me, this was an unexpected discovery, it's really good and doesn't overpower the nose

The scent of bellflowers is very light and transparent, with green notes and hawthorn. It reminds me of late May and early June. Although bellflowers don't really have a strong smell, this perfume evokes pleasant associations with spring. It seems to transport you into a world of freshness and joy, filling your soul with optimism

The summer scent is okay, sure. But its softness somehow just doesn't quite do it for me. Green, yeah, but way too light, almost like it's not even there. It has a sparkle, but it's not joyful, more like a touch of sadness

The scent of wildflowers is just amazing! It evokes images of a summer day when a gentle breeze sways the grass on the meadow. It's a feeling of peace and coziness, like you're in nature, where everything around breathes warmth. Such a friendly and relaxing scent 🌼

The scent is somehow a bit too soft and floral-green. At first, it seems like sweet bellflower, but then it all goes into some grass and cucumbers, so I removed the star for that. There's no persimmon here, and musk isn't felt at all. Of course, it's okay for spring-summer, but there's no longevity, just like all their perfumes, though it leaves a sillage 🤷‍♀️

The scent of fresh meadow greens really stands out here, evoking a whole bunch of pleasant summer memories. I'm not sure how it will wear on me, but the feeling is definitely pleasing

Belladonna never really attracted me, I don't remember it having any noticeable scent. But in the bottle, it's a fresh and pleasant floral aroma, quite gentle. There's definitely no persimmon here. Although, maybe that *is* the persimmon scent?

The scent is really fresh and bright, like a morning dawn. I can't say how a bellflower actually smells, but this perfume feels trustworthy. It's gentle with a light green note that gives it a special touch

The scent is simply amazing. At first, you feel like you can hear a bell; it's so bright and fresh. Then it smoothly transitions into jasmine, which stays with you until the very end. It's very pleasant when the scent wraps around you so gently )
